OH REALLY? EQUAL TREATMENT FOR THE LAW MUST APPLY TO AND FOR EVERYONE...THERE MUST BE RESPECT FOR BOTH SIDES...HOMOSEXUALS SHOULD
NOT IMPOSE THEIR WILL ON MY CATHOLICISM...WE BELIEVE MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN
A MAN AND A WOMAN...SO RESPECT THAT! YOU BELIEVE OTHERWISE SO LIVE YOUR LIVES AS YOU CHOOSE...I'LL RESPECT THAT!
OBAMA PLEDGED THAT CHURCHES WILL NOT HAVE TO CONDUCT GAY MARRIAGES.
WE'LL SEE HOW LONG THAT PLEDGE LASTS????????

"How religious institutions define and consecrate marriage has always been up to those institutions. Nothing about this decision - which applies only to civil marriages - changes that."

He's not telling the truth. Don't believe anything that comes from his mouth.

Obama: "How religious institutions define and consecrate marriage has always been up to those institutions."

How religious institutions defined morality was always up to the those institutions also, until Obama and his HHS puppet drone hit them with Obamacare mandates. Liar-in-Chief Obama did not say that how religious institutions "define and consecrate marriage" will be left solely up to them in the future. He only stated how things were in the past, thus deceitfully implying, but not actually saying, that he would not change what religious institutions are allowed to do in the future. It is a virtual certainty that he will try to force Christian Churches to "marry" homosexuals in the future and use this SCOTUS ruling as political cover to do it.

Catholic or other Christian military chaplains may be forced to marry same-sex couples, however, and there is already pressure for Christian church buildings to be used for same-sex weddings. That lesbian couple that sued the Knights of Columbus in Canada for not allowing them to hold their wedding reception in one of the Knights' properties? Remember that? Yeah. The couple won that one, too, if I remember correctly. They will definitely try, based on the civil marriage licenses that the priests and pastors carry. Don't put it past the gay community, and don't put it past Obama.

You Christians are so paranoid! Our glorious leader won't try to force churches to perform "gay" marriages, just as he won't try to force them to provide abortion-inducing drugs with health insurance....Uh....

Obama knows that he got 52% of the Catholic vote. He also believes that these 52% are stupid enough to believe anything he says. Sadly, he is right about the 52%.

It is true...this president is not trustworthy. Once denying gays marriage in any church becomes a "hate crime", the game is over! I don't believe that there are enough christians with backbone, to be willing to pay the price of resisting the government's will on this issue, so that it will become the law of the Land. Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Justice Kennedy do not like orthodox catholics period. However, take heart Brave ones, Jesus will never leave or forsake us and the gates of hell will not prevail against us. Better to suffer with Jesus and His Church, then to side with those who are listening to the Father of all lies! Viva Christo Rey! Long live Christ the King!

Wasn't the news bad enough WITHOUT having to resort to the worst kind of yellow journalism?
Divorce. No one forces the Church to maddy the divorced, and that's been the Law of the Land a heck of a lot longer than this.
Can anyone offer ANY substantial reason ANY of us should think that at ANY point the government will "force" the Church to perform gay weddings?
    Come on, C.O.
Aren't we better than this fear mongering, pot-stirring garbage?
the decision was bad enough. Why add speculative nonsense that's never, ever going to happen just to upset people?

He said "Churches". Christian organizations or Private Businesses owned by Christians. Prosecution has already begun in Washington State. Don't Be Fooled!
