Fall of the Wall of Silence: More on Pope Francis and Reports of a 'Gay Lobby' in the Roman Curia Comments

'The problem of the gay lobby in the Vatican is important, but marginal," he explains. "The true challenge of the Pontiff is the heresy of homosexuality, what I call the 'homoheresy, that is, the rejection of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church on homosexuality, whose defenders are in favor of priesthood for gays. The Holy Father must combat this heresy that has spread throughout the Church.' (Fr. Dariusz Oko) Continue Reading

    Deacon Fournier,

I agree with all commentators and with your article.

One warning though: Just because Sandro Magister writes extensively on all Church matters, he SHOULD NOT and MUST NOT be considered as you put it, "One of the most reliable European sources for news on all matters related to the Vatican and its workings".

Mr. Magister has shown, time and time again, seething contempt towards groups and institutions which the Holy See supports and blesses. Mr. Magister is many times blinded by his knowledge and misguided by his self righteousness and pride.

I love pope Francis, admire his robust and rational principles of life, and above all his humility. If the holy spirit is truly in his petrine ministry, no doubt 101% he will address step by step the issue of gay lobby in roman curia with heavenly tactful discerned judgment from above.

This problem that our Pope is facing within the clergy and curia, should awaken a praise to Jesus!, to thank Him that He allows us to live in this beautiful Grace period of His Divine Mercy: as St. Faustina's Diary says(#1588) "In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to My people. Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My Merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice, I am sending the Day of Mercy." This is the time of fulfillment, repent! and believe in the Gospel! Our God loves mercy more than justice, and we should thank him for the Grace, the forgiveness we don`t deserve, especially considering what Mother Church was going through in the 16th century: a book speaking of the Inquisition (Imprimatur: John J. Carberry, Archbishop of St. Louis, 1968):
"The Holy Office began its official inquiries and trials. Those potentially condemned included, by law, not only heretics but also usurers, bigamists, blasphemers, relapsed Jews and Muslims, sodomists, and sorcerers."
Repent, and make every effort to enter through the narrow door of God's Mercy, before the day of His Justice arrives...

I pray that our Holy Father can rid our church from this cancer. What happened when Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit?

More of the fall-out of failed Vatican II direct policies, or attitudes.
Please God lead this man who as Cardinal was lite on the subject of sodomite priests. Lead him to reform his clergy, rid the novous ordo semenaries of the sodomites.
Judging a tree by its fruit has shown us many short comings in the current curia, and church at large!
    Instaurare Omnia Christo.

Acting out! That is the key to any sin. An inclination is not a sin. Self control is a voluntary action on the part of any individual against sin. A gay lobby is an organized assembly of people with the same inclination to be tempted by sin. Organize a heterosexual lobby and it amounts to the same thing. These lobby's want to have blessing from the Church to condone their sexually active lifestyles. That is a sinful nature that is deliberately in active disobedience to God and His Holy Church. Priests and Bishops should not be divided in such matters. The sexual scandals are costing the laity a lot of money. These scandals discourage contributions to the Church and their related causes. It becomes more fun for the laity to by the latest iPhone and to heck with a Church that immerses itself in scandal with a gay lobby within the Curia. This is bad news and it is an outrage against Jesus Christ. Sin is sin! Christ came into the world to address sin,as sin is the base cause for every misery in the world. The poor in heart are sinful people. What good is confession if the sinful are absolved, than they gladly go out and form a lobby with like minded sinners,so they can organize as a group guilty of committing a similar sort of sin and to be actively happy in doing so! Sin becomes alright if the likeminded sinful, form a lobby in the Church? The devil works in obviously devious and deceptive ways for those willing sinners that have lost all sense of conscience, which is the Wisdom of God,that still persistent and small voice that speaks honestly to the prayerfully devoted faithful human heart.

It is interesting that in my country, and I think this applies in many others too, Planned Parenting and the Homosexual movement are closely aligned. Dare one suggest there is very strong spiritual connection - the same spirit, maybe?

    God bless Pope Francis.
He is drawing out the evil from the curia. We must pray for the Church and Pope Francis that the corrupt be drawn out like poison from a wound. This homoheresy which infects the curia has taken it's toll.
Continue to pray that those who sow injustice will reap calamity. Not just within the Church, but throughout all society.

For the Church, there is only one union, which is of the male & female, by the origin as one, beware of these so called civil unions whose agents are the gay lobbyists exposed even in the Roman Curia, the lobby that represents the ways of some of the pagan Caesars even the modern ones, neither to Christ nor to Christianity.
