President Obama, commander-in-chief of the United States armed forces, ordered two United States Marines to violate Corps protocol by making them hold umbrellas over his head during an outdoor event. Continue Reading

Here are 178 examples of Barack Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, hypocrisy, government waste, and other misdeeds

Kenny. You are exactly right. Both parties stoop to the same bs year after year. Why do you think so few people trust them. It's absolutely insane.

I got really tired of everything being a scancal under Bush but it's hillarious to see the same thing playing out here. IRS "scandal"....who cares. We get so focused on some nonsense freedom argement that we forget that half these groups are mere fronts to malign candidates and confuse voters....on both sides of the aisle. Justice Department wiretapping.....I thought everything was on the table when it came to national security. In fact, wasn't the right whining not to long ago that national security leaks weren't being pursued? In fact, seems to me they have been pretty aggressive about it. Umbrella scandal...well another note of nonsense. Benghazzi, they screwed up. We are humans, it happens. Bush screwed up an entire happens.

Bottomline we want the impossible from these folks.

The problem is not so much protocol as it is attitude, an attitude that permeates the current administration.

Thanks for the note. It's good to have something "lighter" to read about from time to time.

What you don't know is that these are super umbrellas that become a shield in case of attack. If not, well, how does this sound:"Umbrella gets in the way of protecting the president's life". Now, that would be really ironic.

The fact is he knows that, unlike Mr Luther King, Obama's life is not at risk: He has a different master and he is doing exactly what that master wants.

Let's keep praying for our Nation, and our world. For God's mercy upon us, and for the conversion and salvation of all.

Healing Rain will pour down our world. :-)

You say "the rules of the Corps which exist for a purpose", but do you know the purpose of thay particular rule? I'm sure you probably don't. get over your selves people. It's an umbrella. You people hate the man so much you'll cry for impeachment for the smallest dumbest reasons, but it would be completely different if it was a president you voted for.

Doc B, "Hundreds of thousands of people dying from weapons". Are you talking about babies murdered by Planned Parenthood that Obama blessed.

I am appalled in your lack of knowledge and blatant attempt to make something of nothing. This whole umbrella issue is laughable at best. Yes there is a rule that says male members of the Marines cannot hold umbrellas. Of course that is for themselves genius! There is also another title in the rules that says if the President asks a Marine to do something they do it. And by the way...if your interested in opening your mind many previous presidents have done the same.

Focus on something important please. Hundreds of thousands of people die in this country each year at the hands of of weapons. Where is the uproar there. Why did most of your representatives vote no for stricter gun laws when 90% of us support it? Here is a link to those bad bad presidents breaking those marine rules you state....

When you wear a uniform, you do as you are told. So be it. Obama did nothing wrong. He could change the protocol if he wanted. You can criticize the president for many things but he is the president. This is not a matter of right or wrong. Those marines did their duty.

Josephine Boone: When I saw your comment I was compelled to reply. During the bush administration around 570 military personnel gave their lives for our country, in 8 years. In 4 years 1550 and a US Ambassador have given theirs under Obamas command. Mr Obama essentially spit on those Marines, and all Americans, when he disrespected and misused them. And i will say one thing more... I the History of The United States, no other President, Jimmy Carter included, has 'ever' disrespected a Marine or any Military Service Personnel in such a manner. Semper Fi! God bless you and God bless America!

A total of 4,486 U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2012, including about 1000 Marines. The Iraq war was initiated and poorly justified by a previous President, yet this writer proposes that the current President resign for the crime of asking a Marine to hold an umbrella.
