President Obama's Address to Planned Parenthood Requires a New Human Rights Movement Comments

We need to build a true human rights movement of faithful Christians who are unapologetically dedicated to life, family, freedom and solidarity and willing to work together. We will have to use every legal means at our disposal to oppose this administration when it violates fundamental human rights such as the Rights to Life and Religious Freedom or when fails to protect marriage and the family and society built upon them. Deacon Fournier, we deeply share the vital concern for our Church and country that you so well describe. It was uplifting to see how the very same methodology we used in a successful Three Year Pilot Program we called “Witnessing With the Poor” applies so naturally to aid your "New Human Rights Movement" Proposal. “WWP” was cautiously approved (IRS reasons) by the USCCB in the late 1980s and welcomed by both Catholic and Protestant congregations. If you email me your regular postal mail address, I’ll send you printed public proof of the Pilot’s success and its Episcopal approval. Back then, I proposed WWP to our Social Ministry Committee due to difficulties in being the family provider in a challenging technical career, husband, and father of seven while trying to keep up with complex data and diverse opinions on how to help the poor get out of their category to then become more independent. While living in the dissent-hampered hometown of Fr. Charles E. Curran, it was also necessary to publicly defend Humanae Vitae and, later, other vital teachings. Thank God for my always supportive wife!
Realizing that OTHER busy people faced similar problems gave final impetus to demonstrating the WWP methodology which is executable by ordinary parishioners. Not feasible in those Pilot Program days, WWP-type methodology is now easily capable of being duplicated by local parishioners everywhere: *quickly, independently and virtually simultaneously* in all 15,000 + Catholic congregations across America. That’s due to today’s internet capabilities applied to conveying the methodology and to presenting bishop-approved 5-to-6 minute presentations, i.e., planned segments of a series to be presented immediately after all weekend Masses, for a goodly number of such informative weekends before the HHS Watershed Day, August 1. The short presentations need to be drawn up by trusted, coordinated magisterium-faithful theologians who are similarly concerned by what can badly happen – this very summer -- to the Founders’ Gift of a once God-respecting Republic, albeit imperfectly so. Cardinal Dolan in his Update called us to both pray and work hard – Ora et Labora, both! Elsewhere he praised the effectiveness of laity-to-laity communication. Bulletin inserts, pulpit and USCCB-website appeals will not be effective enough nor do they give the *crucial* sense that we must all be together, with “some of our skin in the game” re these historic threats upon us!
There are no delays due to dependence on paid outside speakers for which there are far too few, anyway, to cover 15, 000 + parishes on the same weekends in order to begin by late MAY, 2013 assuming the USCCB and good theologians cooperate! Indeed we can have a proper New Human Rights Movement up and operational just before June when USSC Justices can still be influenced by God-respecting citizen-concerns about traditional marriage, such as via your NHRM effort making the national news the Justices will see. And well before August 1, President Obama will have to think hard about the impact on the crucial 2014 elections should he continue to threaten with his HHS mandate Catholics and other Christians as if we were merely animals without sacred beliefs and consciences! In the case of your proposed Movement, all local lay participants using the methodology would promise not to modify bishop-approved presentations on the topics of defense of traditional marriage and on the implications of the HHS mandate. The methodology is not difficult to implement since the topics are Church-internal matters, thus making the IRS a non-threat. Before seeing your article I was and still am working to propose use of WWP methodology in the 15, 000 + Catholic parishes in America. It now looks wise to join efforts as the clock is relentless.

Deacon Fournier, It is certainly a noble geste on Your part to continue Your quest in the founding of "The Right to Life Movement" to protect God's newly destined creations. Sir, I write this additional comment to urge you to accelerate this project so as to prevent the future demise of the precious new neighbors immediately. Today, while further studying in depth the promotion of the death culture perpetration in America, I became exceeding alarmed to find that the mindset of these maligned persons increases at an exponential rate daily. We now have an evil minded administration who daily recruits gullible persons who become in lockstep to what the government aims in curtailing the rise of this nation's baby population. What hurts the most is to find out about our Catholic brothers, who historically are morally Conservative towards the defense of Life are now numbered in the majority in agreeing with the Liberals in the increased abortion trend. The numbers of these of turn coats increased just today, perhaps after hearing and seeing last night Obama's press dinner speech. Even the Conservative radio talk hosts gave him a pass to his presentation... they liked what he said. They certainly sounded mesmerized by his antics. The POTUS is certainly a master of deception. Kieth, we need help from a Higher Authority; what we need NOW is a 'Hail Mary' pass. A 'Hail Mary': low-probability pass attempted at the end of a half when a team is too far from the end zone to execute a more conventional play.

Deacon Fournier, your opening paragraph is missing one important element - Leadership. We already have numerous Pro-Life groups, Pro-Marriage social activists across the country. You have the Tea Party that are squarely behind the Catholic Church in opposing the HHS Mandate. Again, what we don't have is Leadership from the Bishops and priests. Unless we 48% of the Catholic Faithful wake up and accept this truth, we are just chasing our tails around the tree. The small handful of bishops and priests who are out there leading the charge don't make it. I am a Knight of Columbus. I have men in my council who are just fine with Homosexual Marriage and will defend Obama to the death. They represent a majority of Catholics. Remember 52% of the Catholic vote went to re-electing Obama. This is what we are up against. This won't change unless the Bishops and priests change.

Deacon Fournier: First of all, we need to be clear in our language; our youngest neighbors in the womb ALREADY HAVE THAT RIGHT. Deacon Kieth, your plans of a national recognition of the Natural Law Right to Life for our youngest neighbors in the womb is a must for this epoch, which is presently inundated with evil mindset social trends. To clear the present secular clutter on the substrate surface a symbolic tower, has to be built as you propose, to allow the wide broadcasting in the recruiting efforts of a moral clarity based human rights movement of faithful Christians. Sir, in your planning of this TOWER, will you please consider in recruiting the Heavenly Based Liaison to our world, the Blessed Virgin Mary? Mary, the New Eve, Theotokos and our Mother. The intercession of the Blessed Virgin with Her maternal instinct to protect her children; will be a plus for the Right to Life Project. She has the right credentials for this the scriptures reveals; "Demons are unable to curse the Blessed Virgin." Christ prevents the demons from doing this...that it has something to do with the prophecy in Gen 3:15 about enmity between Satan and 'the Woman' who bore the Christ Child. Personally, I'm very strong in my veneration towards our Lord's Mother, her intercession has made our family's daily existence more manageable in a world of spiritual warfare; that nearly required asking for an Exorcists to intervene! God Bless You Deacon Fournier for all You have done for God's Glory!

    Dear Deacon Keith,

I respectfully suggest a Culture of Life Movement that not only embraces "rights" but the full truth about human sexuality, life, marriage and the family, all of which are under attack, not just the right to life. This is the prayer and hope of Blessed John Paul II.

    Sincerely in Christ,

    Dan Lynch

Thank you Keith, I agree with you, we need a human rights movement and have our voices heard. We share your concern and want to help. I would gladly sign-up to a movement. You know my email id, please lets try to organize so we can be heard. Mike Huckebee gave time Sat. show. He should be on tonight. The press person who is covering the abortion killing trial in Philly is totally dismayed by the lack of press coverage. The state of PA has had not inspections of these clinics for 15 or so years. Gov. Ridge is just as bad as Obama on abortion. The media is totally silent, they will not attend the trial. Please lets start a movement, I pray. Murder of infants is allowed, I join you, the word must get out.

When a man tries to bless things that are accursed & an abomination unto God, he but increases the curses. Opposite to that is when things of God try to be cursed, it turns to become blessings, like of O.T. Balaam, come unto this day by this new Balaams-Obama, Hillary, their people & their agents viewing & acting against each & everything of God & the Bible, not only indicating their beliefs unto the strange gods,(If the first visit of Obama to Bombay with a strong Military contingent, is understood in terms of Spiritual(dark) sentences as stated in the Prophecy of Daniel, upon his return inducting Gay agendas into the US military) putting a stumbling block to God to the very soul of America, which is to death, for "by their works you know them". The ways of Obama against life can only be tackled through these Spiritual understandings, delivered unto the Church.

Politcians are not sutible for any religion...and adding another political party is not going to solve any problems in the uS...we live factual lives with exact consequences. Lobbyist will just out bid everyone.
A direct approach is more suitable...especially for the women who need assistance rearing their familys...employ someone qualified...and they will end with a gun in their hands.
I would never associate myself with with the murderers in Washington DC again.
    Daniel 12:1 King James
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

only the power of the Catholic priesthood can effectively exorcise, through the grace of the crucifixion of Jesus. What Deacon ought to strongly consider is working - through this site - with Priests for Life and ALL OTHER priests and priestly groups that are willing to say exorcistic prayer, and penances, for the deliverance of the United States government from demonic forces. Hopefully, the laity can assist these good men.

Consistent with that, it is important to expose the alliance of powerful interests which have seized the reigns of power, and expose them and their agenda to the Light of Truth.
Presently that is very murky...who benefits from abortion, and why it is the centerpiece of their empire?

Mike's points in the post above are definitive.
