Guest Opinion: Religious Freedom & 'Gay Marriage' Cannot Coexist Comments

If you are a Christian in today's America, you too will almost certainly find yourself with a similar decision to make. When man's law violates God's law, you will have to choose which to obey. Choosing God can mean persecution. I've made my choice. How will you choose? Continue Reading

The greater problem comes from them who remain complacent to gay & its agendas & are equally or more responsible for the Sin, to the word "responsible" is to mean "We are our Brother's keeper" . The Sin of the "Gay pride" is clear in the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah which included the destruction of Lot's wife who was changed into a pillar of salt, as a testimony against the Complacency.

Sure wish our church would have truely cherished marriage before this train came barreling down. The time to have become serious about marriage is when our divorce rate started nearing 50%, pornography addition in married men is at an all time high etc. Like so many things plaguing our culture....not a peep from the church.

I agree with the premise of the article, but we are only reaping what we've sewn. Very sad.

excellent article, unfortunately many of today's writers do not keep us informed on the people or persons being persecuted. please keep us informed, thank you.

It won't be long before it will be necessary to delete the terms "Mother and Father, Mom and Dad" from the English language. If the children of a SSM feel left out because they do not have opposite sex parents, those using the terms "Mom AND Dad" will be called bullies and steps will have to be taken to remedy the pain of the deprivation of what those children should have had and were denied by the homosexual culture.

Hope that you have filed a brief at the Supreme court on gay marriage. Hope that the Supreme court defines religious freedom. For example in some religions a person is killed if they change religion. How do you govern religious freedom as there are many practices like child marriage, discrimination against women etc that are not acceptable in current society. Our system of government says that the SCOTUS defines the constitution and if you do not agree with the ruling you can amend the constitution

    Dear Mr. Barber,

I think the arguments you present in this article are absolutely correct. Christians cannot withstand the onslaught of sexual evil unless they reject it outright and are willing to accept the consequences. It may be that suffering persecution is the only thing that will alert the general public -- and homosexualists themselves -- to the intrinsic evil of sexual perversion and its ruthless demand that everyone bow down and worship the golden calf. How timely this article is, considering the Mass readings from the Acts of the Apostles in recent days and how those readings emphasize the real suffering that Christians, including St. Paul, had to undergo for the sake of "the Name".

I do have one objection to the article, though, and that is its use of nasty characterization. I believe the choice to use words like "creep" diminishes the love-in-truth tone of the article and does not proceed from a spirit of charity. And without charity, we are nothing.

Aside from that, thank you, Mr. Barber, for a most insightful and courageous article.

    Your brother in Christ,

    Clinton

Love your enemy. There seems little love for those who disagree with the author in this article. When one suffers for Christ, joy is the appropriate response. Where is the joy?

Great article. Very clear, expressed without anger, just the truth.

Yes, it's true. My agenda is, in fact, to eliminate Christianity. It's total nonsense. Look at that old lady in the video? What are the chances she understands the nature of the universe? Exactly zero.

Please, people. Get over yourselves. You are not Gods. Your book is made up nonsense. You all believe the nonsense because your mommies told you to.

Sexual behavior is not protected by the Constitution, religion is. The notion that homosexual behavior is natural is completely absurd. Our society has been fed lies, and nothing good will come from them.
