This political correctness, womens liberation is gone way to far. A few points to ponder from a Vietnam Vet.
If you are on peremeter duty in a combat zone and there is an all out assault on your position, you need to know when that 250 # enemy soldier and enought of his buddies to over run you, hit the wire that the person in your fox hole with you and in the other fox holes can hold there position. If you bunker mate is a woman will she have your back will the 2 women in the next fox hole be able to hold there position. The line always falls at it's weakest point. Do I think about what my mother taught me, never hit a woman, never let anyone else hit a woman. Do I worry so much about this that I let the other soldiers in the line down.
Another thought, when has the militaries mission become second to the individual rights of a very few, what about the rights of the men sent in harms way, do they not deserve the soldiers they can count on.
One last thought when the draft is reinstated and it will and your 95 # daughter is drafted and sent to the front, who will protect her.
people need to start to think before they act. This should be a decsion for all the American people, not just Obama. Didn't see this in his campaign.
Another example of the callous disregard the dems have for the military. There are a lot of good things that women can do, but the fact is that as a rule they're smaller, weaker, and slower than men, and it's unfair to the men who put their lives on the line to have them there.
The army is not about equality - it is a killing machine and its task is to secure victory through coordinated violence against violent enemies. Allowing women in front line combat missions is not like mandating their presence in businesses or universities or any other part of civil society. You can do that and if it works out, great. If it doesn't, everyone still gets to go home at the end of the day. Not in the army. If it doesn't work out - and it won't - people, both men and women, will still go home, but in bodybags.
big mistake.
it is hard enough for women to fully integrate into the fire service, let alone in infantry. That's a whole different ball game
women are not the same, in body, and spirit-you know what the dems said; they have a pre-existing condition.
