According to the infamous atheist, Richard Dawkins, growing up Catholic is a form of child abuse worse than sexual abuse. Go ahead and reread that, and let it sit for awhile. Continue Reading

Paul-Emile Leray - this Web site does it too. I would love to answer any all questions posed here but this site refuses to post them. It's a waste of time and unproductive when only one opinion is allowed. I refuse to waste anymore time on this site. Enjoy your closed minded thread. This of course will be edited as well.

Richard Dawkins might be famous but not educated. Lets have mercy on him because he himself is a victim of abuse by satan. Let all Catholics be focused- lets pray for him that he receives light in his life.

Paul-Emile Leray, Thank you! I know we need it, else why was Obama re-elected?
It's nice being free, is it not? Blessings...

Just like Christ is the head and we of the Church are his body; so too the devil has a body and Dawkins is a part of that abomination. May God have mercy on them all and save them by conversion.

Wow, those were stunningly appalling words to come from Mr. Dawkins' mouth. Someone doesn't even have to be a Catholic or believer in hellfire to find them offensive. That is certainly the case for me on both counts.

Hearing this folly from Mr. Dawkins calls to mind certain Scriptures:

    • 1 Corinthians 1:18-20
    • Matthew 11: 25
    • James 4:6
    • 1 Corinthians 8:2
    • Colossians 2:8

It would be quite something if by God's mercy and Mr. Dawkins' humility some beautiful truths may be revealed to him so as to take him beyond the atheistic hate he seems so consumed by. And he really ought to publicly apologize to victims of child sex abuse. It is definitely his turn now.

Laura, Thank you for your shared info. I agree that Catholics must know their Faith, knowledgeably, intellectually, reasonably, and logically. Your post was wonderful!

@Len, Yes. We are no different than the Christians of Christ's time. With pagans/heathens surrounding us. I enjoyed your post too, as well as many others. Blessings to all...

John A. Oesterle; Logic, the Art of Defining and Reasoning, 2nd edition.

I urge people to read through this, for there you will be given many insights in how Sophists and media types (along with politicians) almost continually use fallacious reasoning to sway public opinion. Like Sophists and Pharisees, wishing to appear as being wise without possessing the reality, these many media types manipulate language and degrees of truth to promote their own ends using their own means. Lawyers do it. Politicians do it. Marketers do it. Business-people do it. Journalists do it. The media does it. Advertisers do it. The naivety and gullible-like conditionning of the herd eats it all up as if it was often the truth just because someone famous said it. He who is good with the hammer tends to view the world as a nail. Just because a famous person says something, it does NOT mean it is true. Most people on television are media whores, who thrive infront of the spotlight, and are clueless other than how to make the news and make money while making the news. Then, they die like everyone else. Don't be dazzled or impressed just because someone is famous. It does NOT matter. Famous people are seated with their eyes at the same height as yours are while having a bowel movement. True? True. Do NOT, dear Catholics, be intimidated by fame and money. As a matter of fact, THEY are in a more delicate position. Why? They fear losing their fame and money! That is why they are addicted to it. Who cares if people are famous? I don't. Why? Because it is MEANINGLESS. Because television is essentially an idiot tube, on many levels, I would be embarrassed to be on it too often; at this particular time in history. With facebook, isn't everyone famous these days? The kitchen cat and mouse are famous along with the garbage cans in this age of video and record everything. I urge people to change their perspectives in how they view television and media. Most of it is manipulation. Simply say "no" and you can bleed their fame and money to death. It is that easy to do. Stop buying into their propaganda. Un-plug. I did, for the most part. And? I am free. It is interesting, is it not, that a once high ranking executive of CBS television allegedly almost never watched television other than the evening news and a game of baseball. Tisch is the last name. Research it. The owners were often too smart for television. The joke is on who? Those on television and those watching it, for the most part. Meanwhile, the owners are laughing all the way to the bank.

I am personally not worried what people outside the church think...it's how the ones outside the church are forced to live by the ones that rule that are worrysome...and live like Dawkins discussed.
Knowing that we are what we eat physically and mentally...in every sense of the 5 senses that are recognized...leads to the unwanted conclusions of the psychosomatic.
The uS currently is practicing acts that are never going to be recognized as righteous using any dictionary that supports an effective translation of the Bible or supports unity in the united States.
Every religion has always been at odds with the use of a currency and the requirement that everyone follow a social economic political policy of a refuted, and disfuntional group of rulers like the uS currently has with two opposing political parties.
I instead smile...that what Christ purposed that we all do is to awaken people to what will definately progress in the future; since past acts have always predicted the future events, where prison populations, executions and unwanted sexual acts will occur at a higher frequency.
"let he who is without sin, cast the first stone" Christ said. They instead tossed their stones and walked out in the order of age...then Christ changed the future events...by counciling the ones about to be stoned...rather than allowing a continuation of the same identical event, to happen to the youngest in the order of age.
A hard thing to accomplish when there is a requirement for a dollar to be placed in one's hand.
That's all a politician will ever recognize as controls how he uses his hands to sign laws, etc.
So it's good in one respect that so many people today are actually awake to the actual events and how those events happened due to the united States government...and not any religion I found mentioned in the Bible.
If the Bible states you shall not, then the uS government shall not. Get caught in that senario. Everyone have a good day...

There is one common element among all Atheists, anti-God, anti religious groups, people or individuals on this planet: they all are against Christians - and more specifically Catholics. They are not against Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Satanism. Paganism, Buddhism, Hinduism.....put-what-you-want-here-ism. They do not denounce any of those beliefs or religions. Not at all. They only have a problem with Catholics and their beliefs. Sound familiar? Anyone care to comment why? Dawkins will go the way of the Hitchens and others, no doubt about it, but neither him nor any other agents can distort the Truth, the Path to God and the name of our Lord. Not a chance. It only angers me that these people exist and are given their 15 minutes of fame just because they bash Catholics, but other than that they are absolutely irrelevant. It comes down to the media. It is the media that makes it possible for these types of people to be known. If the media could only give the same amount of time to those who are pro-Catholic I believe you'd have a lot less bashing going on. However the basis of our religion is the same as it was 2000 years ago, and it will never change. You cannot change the Truth - the only thing that is purely Truth, the word of the Lord.

Dawkins is well suited to the new cult of atheism. No longer content to simply not believe and yet enjoy the rich Christians traditions and culture, these once reasoned people have completely lost their way. Reason is the mantra, yet most exhibit none. Tey lack the ability to form coherent arguments, but cherry pick obscure bible passages that they feel should make us quiver with our modern sensibilities. Yet their sola scriptura mentality refuses to listen to reason when we attempt to educate and discuss with them. They unreasonably revise history to the agenda of their new religion. They slander, they mock and the irony is they don't see how unreasonable they are being. In fact, they are just like the most inane fundamentalist I've ever met. Their new religion, or cult, has deified Dawkins and the only remaining thing he can say is "freedom is slavery". Irrational behavior is reasonable. Dawkins is marginalizing himself and as the reasonable atheists flee from him, the ones who remain will be irrational zombies who arrogantly convince themselves only they know best.
