What happens to our faith if we find life out there? Comments

Earlier this week, Astronomers announced the discovery of five more planets outside our solar system, orbiting a sun-like star, just 12 light years away. The finding is amazing because of their proximity and possible location within the star's habitable zone. However, the real story is just how common planets appear to be. Continue Reading

The Bible simply doesn't address the issue directly, and when it seems to imply life only on earth, perhaps it is just intended as an expression rather than any firm word on the subject.
I don't believe that there is a certainty of extraterrestrial life but i do believe that if we ever were to contact intelligent life elsewhere that the great commission would still apply.
The issue with our faith is the principles and the path that Christ has shown us to follow, not what may or may not be implied about science by it.

Nothing, the Holy Father has already said we shouldn't limit God's creation.

The important question was not answered. So if God is human, how are other races taken into God's plan?

How ironic that the second tower of babel is being constructed. what is sad is that a Jesuit priest would say that we cannot exclude that there is life other places. What the good priest needs to do is not stray from what Jesus has taught. He said before he ascended into heaven he said, if there was anything else to tell you I would have. He needs to say the "Our Father" very carefully and when he gets to the part "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" understand there is no life anywhere else. Satan's UFO"s have not done the trick for him so he continues to deceive even the celery in our church. Our lord said, when I come back will there be any faith. I say the people who believe the truth when he comes back will fit into a room twelve by twelve. Those words are apostasy.
