   JoAnn... come on... can you show me HOW it doesn't save us money in the long run? Not everything is a lot. And yes, the only Congressman I find listed as a Democratic Socialist is Sanders. You know of someone else? Whom?

   KarlVDH: No, it isn't going to save the taxpayer anything. Do research. Stop being so vulnerable to the Democratic Socialists propaganda. And, if you think Bernie Sanders is the only Socialist in Washington, you really do need to do a lot of research. The Dems/Soc. have been discrediting our founding fathers for years. They also have been discrediting our Constitution. You and a lot of other people better wake up, my friend. Sounds like you have no idea how much the United Nations is taking over our country. (With Obama's help, I might add.) I really wish you and others would download the United Nations report Agenda 21 for "Sustainable Development." More of our freedoms are being taken away day by day, even as I write this. Karl, God love ya, please, please, please research the above. Time is getting shorter and shorter every day for us to be able to stop this madness. Anytime you hear "SUSTAINALBLE/SUSTAINABILITY," perk up your ears because that's the United Nations talking, and we should not want any part of it. God bless.

   Jo Ann... take a breath for a minute... why think that at all? What if the new, permanent dolar coin HAD the image of Washington on it, as I strongly suspect it would?
   And WHAT Democratic Socialists? The only one in congress is Bernie Sanders... and we all see how bloody effective HE'S been.
   Relax. This will save the taxpayer money- isn't that the goal we're after??

   Yes, by all means, let's erase the memory of our 1st president, the Father of our Country. Don't you people see what is going on here! These Democratic Socialists are erasing our heritage, our history. They are changing our conversations, our principles and values. They are succeeding in discreting our founding fathers, they are erasing our religious freedoms. They are "fundamentally transforming" America right under our noses and we are supporting it. What the h--- is the matter with everybody. EVERYBODY, PLEASE READ AGENDA 21 ASAP AND WAKE UP!!!! God bless.

   Yes,Yes,Yes do away with the "paper" dollar, replace it with a coin, save the taxpayer (us) a bundle.All of Eorope has done it (euro), Canada did it in 1986, Austrailia did it , Great Britian has done it (pound), etc. etc.. Why don't we follow good examples, if we're not going to be the leader? Paper Dollars have a life span of 18 months, then is "shredded" and replaced (at taxpayers expense), a "dollar coin" lasts for over 30 years. A no-brainer.

   keep the $1 bill get rid of the democrats in congress and the White House cut government spending enhance the military and cut the wages of the President, Vice President, and all members of congress as well as limit all terms of office to just 4 years and no more than 1 term in their lifetime so that their livelyhood must depend on their job other than that of the government pay and only pay for the days that they are actually in congressional meetings or when congress is in session. Dock their pay for every day in session that they miss except for medical appointments or hospitalization. If they do not show for 2 sessions then they should be replaced and permently removed from the rolls of congress and never be eligable to run for office again except for being in the hospital. Do away with career politicians

   Interesting fact about the lady Sacajawea who, along with her child, is on the dollar coin. Her husband was hired as a guide for Lewis and Clark, but he would not go without her. Her name was Sacajawea Charbaneau.
