Catholics for Romney Leadership Team Formed: Six Former Vatican Ambassadors Lead the Effort Comments

We are all called to advance the moral teachings of Christianity in the life of our country. Where the stakes are highest - in the defense of life, liberty, and human dignity - we have a duty to act that is greater and more urgent than allegiance to any political party. In the election of 2012, this conviction has united all of us - each a former ambassador of the United States to the Holy See - in support of Governor Mitt Romney's candidacy for ... The unfortunately thing about being independent is you have no one to vote for. Obama the disaster or the bored rich guy who wants to be president. I hate that these are my choices.

JoAnn.I'll try this again what would be the reaction if Muslim Americans that served as the Ambassador to the Kings of Saudi Arabia used their office to influence the vote of Muslim Americans on their selection as President.

I am Catholic and cannot imagine voting for Romney. His party focuses on tax cuts for the rich, the 1% who care little about the 99%. He will most likely do as he claims he will and eliminate health care measures that are needed for so many. Where is our country's compassion? Obama achieved something others have long tried to do and failed.

I do, as a Catholic, have concerns over some aspects of this health care program. We are a nation of law, and we can fight these in the courts. I believe we have a good chance of willing legally.

I enjoyed being a Republican at one time in my life. It is a very different Party now, especially in the extremes of the Tea Party who only seem to know how to say "No". I believe in something else, a respect for differing opinions and a system that allow those to be debated in a civil manner.

I don't need any more of the Bush-era philosophies.

    Vote Obama

mgm, I believe a photo of six with the Pope beats the heck out of a photo of six Fast and Furious Drug Cartels and Obama.

Ben, and anyone who really thinks the libs are "for" the environment.

First of all, conservatives are conservatives. We are trying to preserve what is good and God-created. Including the environment. We believe that the earth has been created by God for our use, and we are to be it's stewards. Which means, we don't worship the earth above humans (created in Gods own image), but we are to take care of it.

How about all that "pill" which the libs are mandating (you watch) every girl be on. What is it doing to our beloved earth? Here's one link, but if you really think you are "progressive", you need to really understand the facts.

It is unbelievable for most of us that we have any number of Christian politicians, quite a few who are prominent nationally and are reelected by large majorities of their Christian constituency, who actively promote and encourage legislation, judge acceptable, and personally advocate a wide range of politically manufactured immorality which they are able, with the assistance of a liberal media and Church leadership unwilling to cross the line of political correctness or reluctant to get involved in politic, to present as social justice, healthcare for women, or civil rights for activist groups to the detriment and demise of our once proud Judeo-Christian society that was a beacon of freedom for all people of good will and strong work ethics with the desire for individual achievement.
However, on behalf of a large portion of your readers, it is even MORE ASTOUNDING that we see here there are yet Catholic readers who we would assume are knowledgeable American citizen of at least middle age who have witnessed over the last three years an explosion of Marxist socialism style governance by a once democrat party which was known as a friend of the little man that has been seized and seasoned by a radical minority of corrupt communist sympathizers and community organizers led by a socialist president bring our nation to its knees, not in prayer to the Almighty but far from it, rather in obvious economic disaster with overwhelming debt and a majority of our citizens at the mercy of the federal government on food stamps, 99 weeks of unemployment compensation, and have lost their homes via foreclosure YET all they REALLY FEAR is a Mormon in the Whitehouse. God help us!

THIS article is Great! It gave me a shot in the arm! While i radiated Joy! To ALL those posting, who tried to explain and enlighten others: Your time and posts were indeed welcome answers of thought, foresight and prayers to others. To ALL those posting your questions, frustrations and doubts: You gave Our Nation and Catholic Church of voters, a chance to reconfirm what they already know and believe in their own hearts and minds. You gave (Them): Independents, Dems., Reps., etc., a chance to give. In Christian Charity=Love. Reading all the wonderful posts here, and having such Catholic communion was wonderful! This interaction in dialogue is necessary to clear cobwebs. To release those stuck in their cocoons, allowing them the freedom to become butterflies. Blessings to all....

William Sexton: A lot of people think that Catholicism is a cult. Stop judging and leave it up to God. Unfortunately, Romney will be the candidate. To vote for a 3rd party will certainly give the election to Obama. Do you want to gamble with our country like that? Would you be able to sleep at night if Obama wins again? The political parties (BOTH parties) DO need to be cleaned up but the best way to do that is in your local elections, not after the horse has left the barn. Remember what's voted on locally, eventually ends up in Washington. God bless.
