Reemergence of the Church Militant: HHS Mandate Calls us to Spiritual Battle Comments

"We see evil wants to rule the world and it is necessary to go into battle against evil. We like it does in so many ways, bloody, with various forms of violence, but also disguised with good and thus destroying the moral foundations of society" (Pope Benedict XVI) Most of us could not have foreseen this turn of events just a few years ago. Oh, we knew the culture was decaying and we were doing all we could to not only stem the tide ... Continue Reading

When I became a Catholic Cardinal Law,then the Cardinal of the Archdiocese of Boston, said that we must become Saints. Frankly I thought that he was being funny. Unfortunately this Cardinal that I still respect very much, became a central figure in the accusations involving the priests in the sexual abuse scandals. The Church is not perceived to be a very loving and caring institution,so it has lost a lot of its moral perspective and influence. The members of the Church are not seen to be any kind of Saints to the eyes of those outside of the Church. The Church must be cleaned from all scandal. The Church Militant,to be effective must practice what it preaches. A Saint loves wholeheartedly and is obedient to God. A Saint offers to others a better and a Holier way to live, act and to love and serve others. The truly lonely person is the one who would seek to be saintly,in that they are obedient in love and respect to God. They must stand apart from the world and on the side of Christ,so that their love and service is for a commitment to a kind of holiness that gives rather than receives. A Saint welcomes others and embraces them as a loving and holy friend, seeing in others the face of Christ as God is a creator who is all in all. Prayer is not the words we say or the reverent gestures we make,so much as it is the way that we choose to encounter others, with a loving sense of compassion. The true militant for Christ is the saint,as the saint like Christ,is driven by the Power of the Holy Spirit, that same Spirit, that is all pleasing to God. If God is pleased by our actions, most likely,so will those who share life with us on this planet. Holiness is love in interactions between each other for the Glory of God because God is Love. Be militant, love God and one another,be a saint. If we all strive to achieve this capability the Church and the societies to which we belong will heal with God's help,as thine kingdom come, dear God,will be,on earth as it is in Heaven, and that is the true goal for every saint. That is the new Evangelization.

Definitely we are in battle against evil. We look at ourselves honestly and see it, let alone in the world. The prayer to St. Michael is critical. We need to fight for all we're worth and look what God has provided: Himself, His Son, the Holy Spirit, the Church, the Sacraments, our Guardian Angel, all the angles and saints.

"You will know him by the fruits he bares" Jesus Christ. This was his answer to the question, "How will we know anti-Christ?" What kind of fruit has Communist Party International bared? What kind of fruit has the Liberal Establishment bared? We have witnessed a despotic assault on Religious Liberty which is he core to the Constitution of the United States. I hope that the Bishops will wake up and smell the coffee and organize more Tea Party like rallies. They must take the lead. This is the spiritual warfare that must be waged.

David Carlon: Cheeze! At least if you are going to write negatively on this board, may I suggest adding some interesting facts to back your words up? You put Everyone down. Read and keep William Clements and Lucia. And yes, I can see the log in my other eye! I too need them!
    Prayerful Blessings to us Both...
But, be it as it may, if the words "Church Militant"=Spiritual Warfare, has not been used since WWII, and Our Holy Father has Chosen to use it Now, I am following Lucia's advice. I haven't worn my religious jewelry as much either , come to think about it. Out they come! A piece of Christian jewelry, man or woman, shows them not only taking a stand, but what they believe.
When was the last time you saw a Catholic wear a piece of jewelry? I know I don't see many!
Me included. Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Immaculate Heart Of Mary, Pray For Us.

Suggested Action Items: Catholics (who oppose this HHS mandate and Obamacare) can pray the daily rosary starting now until Nov 6, 2012. [A 15-minute rosary is more than enough for each day.] The Catholic churches can have an "Oratio Imperata" prayed at every Holy Mass all over the USA starting this sunday (July 22, 2012) until elections are over. Sunday Holy Mass attendees can have a 15-minute visit to the Blessed Sacrament in their churches after the mass (the rosary can be prayed during that visit). Finally, every Catholic who oppose this immoral edict (HHS mandate and Obamacare) should go out to vote on Nov 6, 2012. It has become our sacred and moral duty more than just our legal right to have our votes counted. --- "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing"

O My God, O My Mother, Hear Our Prayers. O Saints in Heaven, O Brothers of Christ, Pray for mankind. Pray for morality. Pray for mercy. Pray for perfect justice. Pray for peace. Pray for us sinners who have recourse to thee, O Mary. Pray for salvation. Pray for conversion. Pray for true repentance.

Father, forgive us for we know not what we do. Humbly, we seek Your perfect guidance. May You guide all your creatures hands to Your Perfect Will. May Your Will be on Earth as it is in Heaven. May we praise You in all our days. May we praise You through all our struggles. May we praise You in our darkest times and may Your Light show us the Way. May we come into the Light unashamed of our actions and stand before You. May we be unafraid to bind the powers of darkness. May we have the courage to do Your Work. May we fear only You and may we obey Your laws more fervently and fight for uprightness in every walk of life. Amen.

The USA is the envy of Chinese Communists, as we live in a Marxist culture seeded by intrinsically materialist Republican and Jacobin Democrat policies and practices. However, the Republicans will forever be remembered for their depraved indifference of the poor, middle class and alien... and as the engineers of the 2nd Great Depression.

The American Church is in its current state because the bishops enabled evil by their historical disobedience to Rome and the Magisterium, complacency and lack of living faith... shame on them! Perhaps a catacomb Church will better serve the Lord... God's will be done.

Where from "Solomon's Portico" the law used to be read in those days, the Bible in Zechariah 5 states of a similar measurement & in this case it is to mean spiritually, where the law is read out from the Portico of Washington - the White House, except that this law by Herod be the "Leavened law" which leaven invariably is against God. Against this leaven is needed the Spirit.

WE THE CHURCH MILITANT CAN CHANGE THIS LEGALLY.

WE CAN VOTE REPUBLICAN, BECAUSE THEY WILL OVERTURN OBAMACARE.

IF NOT, THEN WE ARE OBLIGATED MORALLY TO DISOBEY THIS MANDATE BECAUSE IT VIOLATES GOD'S LAW.

    CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED!!!

Let's all pull out our rosaries, chaplets, novenas, prayers; all spiritual weaponry possible and fight this war.

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

"And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." [Matthew 16:18]
