Ryan Bomberger: More Black Americans Calling for Obama to 'Get Out!' Comments
I'm as black as Obama, and I'm tired of any legitimate criticism of the President's policies reduced to lazy and ludicrous charges of racism. Obama and the Democrats have been promising a whole lot of hope and change but, instead, have delivered higher unemployment, higher poverty rates and millions more welfare enrollees while aggressively promoting abortion in the black community. I have additional comment(s) regarding my earlier post and a suggestion for critical thinking that other posters seem to have missed. I would refer them to an excellent book, "Can A Catholic Be A Democrat ?" This book was authored by a lifelong democrat and it's theme is a refection of his disillusionment with the Democratic Party. The party of his youth has become the enemy of his faith. You would be right in asking, "Can A Republican Be A Catholic ?" Perhaps. Perhaps not. But, I will say this without qualification: If you are a "Sunday Catholic" or a "Cafeteria Catholic" you can feel absolutely comfortable with the Democratic Party as constituted today. Logically, if you LIVE your Catholic faith, a Catholic Democrat would be an oxymoron.
As a people, we are more divided than ever. Any opposition to and legitimate criticism of Mr. Obama and his administration are dismissed as racism. He has shamefully dismissed our Catholic faith as irrelevant and through his proxy, Secretary Sebelius, and it is plainly obvious that he believes that our faith can safely disregarded in any political debate, i.e., our votes don't matter. His Justice Department has become thoroughly politicized, and his Attorney General, Mr. Holder, has openly refused to enforce federal law he doesn't happen to agree with, i.e., the Defense of Marriage Act. Mr. Obama and his minions in the Democratic Party have fictionalized a so-called "War on Women" and openly encouraged class warfare. His Attorney General has openly and shamefully played the race card. Mr. Obama has become the great divider-in-chief and the tragedy that could come out of all of this is that millions will vote for him simply because he is a black man, and for no other reason than that. THAT, folks, is racism in it's purest form.
Bill Sr.: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your post is wonderful and TRUTHFUL and should be heeded by everyone. Keep up the great posts. God bless.
To David E.
We will no longer be silent as our faith and our Republic are being put to the test.
Unfortunately the 2012 election and the hoopla that goes with it is somewhat of a distraction from the undeniable fact that we are truly and quite possibly in a final battle for the soul of America.
The rhetoric and repercussions of past elections have been childs play compared to the consequences of our current terms of political engagement inherently involved in and the ultimate outcome of this battle.
We simply must begin to grasp the magnitude of this pivotal struggle. A concerted war against individual freedom of conscience and personal development within the moral society of our nation is and has been underway for several decades.
The Judea-Christian society born in the 18th century here on American soil which established a Republic that forged a gentle giant of a nation offering its inhabitants hope and freedom and a beacon to the poor or oppressed around the globe drawing millions of them to us is being challenged by the political descendants of despots from past tyrannical governments.
Our heritage would not allow these masters of deceit to ever capture the hearts of men here in the land of the free with the God they openly acknowledged and sought guidance from UNTIL the minds of the young were out of the hands of their parents and into the arms of a far reaching government bureaucracy skillfully crafted and always disguised as a benevolent care giver.
The first step was public schools, originally designed for the poor or disadvantaged, were covertly recognized as the primary target to begin the eventual transformation of our nation. By the middle of the last century the progressives virtually owned and for the most part operated both elementary and secondary (government run and funded) education in America.
The educational dumbing down of Americans involved more than the rewriting of history. It had to include a diabolical reformation of conscience and destruction of Judeo-Christian morality to accomplish the evil intent of those wanting to break the back of Bible totting flag waving patriotic citizens who cling to their right to own guns and provide prosperity for themselves and their posterity.
Unlike the sudden and brutal Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor which awakened a sleeping giant, this sneak attack was a long silent but deadly poisoning of the minds and morals of a nation until we began to compromise our values in the name of tolerance or fairness or social justice weakening our will to staunchly defend the principles on which the Republic was founded.
These enemies of liberty with their newly established politically correct language defining our values and legislative agendas are now not only simply within our society they are in political control of our lives at present. Politics is being used as the tool or weapon of the real enemy. We must understand the real enemy is EVIL in all the forms of misinformation, suggestive entertainment, or corrupt political theory it can deceitfully use to conceal its character and the only remaining obstacle to its complete success is the waning moral fiber left in the values held by Judeo-Christian patriots of this country.
Thus, it is all together fitting that we not hesitate to use the words and tone of our founders which gave birth to our nation to demand our leaders and the candidates for government office, especially the presidency in particular, to profess those precious values and vow to govern justly by them and to boldly face the critics who dare suggest they are not relevant in today’s political arena.
We can pray our hearts out but we need also to willingly stand and step forward to express publicly our defense of freedom as well as humble ourselves before God to assure the Father that we do cherish our faith and freedom and deserve His help.
Time is running out. It is now or never. As students of history and/or an ardent believer in the word of God as given to us in the Gospels, who among us can deny or naively ignore the ramped Evil that is staring us in the face today?
If the rights and dignity of our own unborn brothers and sisters is failed to be protected by our president, why should it be expected for him to do the same for other human beings, regardless of ethnicity?
This is wonderful music video. I am going to share this :-)
This article was very helpful, because it shows that there is very little truly "Catholic" about this website, but it is instead a GOP mouthpiece garbed in religious clothing. Hey, "Catholic.org" is, as I understand it, a for-profit enterprise, and is certainly entitled to its opinions and editorial control. I take no issue with that. But at least be honest about it up front, rather than hiding behind the Church to advance your right-wing propaganda.
This little jingle by a black American on the failure of BHO is in tune with the view and analysis of Obama and his administration forwarded by the renouned and respected black journalist Mychal Massie who has spent the last four years truthfully trying to convince the black community they were fooled badly by the very charismatic politician. Mychal has his own website and is a devout Christian without an ounce of bigotry or racial bias.
One of the reason Barack Obama got elected was he promised to unite the people of this country. Instead, from the moment he took office he has been playing white against black and rich against poor. The "great uniter" is, in fact, the "great divider."
Great article. I wholly agree. You would think and hope that President Obama being black, would have done more for other people who are black and other races who suffer from racism. Instead, the only thing he has become known for, is the promotion of abortion and homosexuality. Is he black or gay?
I agree that some of the responses of Left-leaning politicians and media people has been to routinely chalk up criticisms of this President to racism. It’s ridiculous.
And I’ve been disappointed in some of the results that Barack Obama has posted as well.
On the other hand, I’m agonizing about Mitt Romney. I don’t believe anything that he says, because for almost every “principled stance” that he has espoused, there’s a completely different viewpoint of his dating from four, ten, or fifteen or more years ago.
I was hoping that Mitt would call out the crazies on the Right during the primary, or at least over the past four years. Why didn’t Mitt smack down the birther movement? Why didn’t he smack down the fence-builders or the anti-immigrant people on the Right (people who have crippled the Georgia farming economy)?
For all those GOP politicians who proclaim their family values and their Christianity (while simultaneously saying some very un-Christian things about those on the Left), here’s one Independent who hasn’t made up his mind yet, but who is looking for a political leader who will truly lead Change, starting from within his or her own party. If Mitt doesn’t have the political courage to take on the fringes in his own party, how will he face the politicians on the Left (who are sincere Americans with sincerely-held beliefs, and who will not surrender easily)?
Nixon, a hard-right political figure, made peace with the Chinese. If a Democrat had done that, no one would have believed in it.
And I’m a Catholic with a long history of facing down recruiting attempts by Baptists, Mormons, and other fundamentalists, and this is resembling another argument from them. I know a line of baloney when I hear it.
