Obamacare: Religious Freedom Tax Repeal Act Would Prevent Taxing Catholic Church Comments

The Supreme Court has ruled that those fines or penalties for non-compliance with the Affordable Care Act are a tax. Thus, the Federal Government will soon tax the Catholic Church for abiding by its deeply held religious convictions in its ministry to people in need. These taxes could have the practical result of closing many of the Church's outreaches, ministries and institutions of care and compassion.  This not only injures the Church ... Continue Reading

Perhaps now Bishops will be telling parish priests to give homilies on the teaching that abortion, contraception and sterilization are deadly, mortal sins and to practice them without confession and repentance(doing things differently) and recieving communion is another sin, sacrilege. The very sins this ungodly gov't. is using to destroy the Catholic Church are the sins that parish priests rarely give a homily about. Bishops and priests need to rekindle their zeal for the salvation of souls and that in itself would help the Church. The laity needs to understand those sins are never acceptable to God. They need to place obedience to God before material and social gain. God is not blind and He judges. Quit offending God by the practice of those deadly sins. Also, the laity who practice those sins not only offend God, they have now injured those faithful Catholics who refuse to practice those sins. We faithful Catholics have watched how unfaithful ones have voted in a malicious gov't to force the Church to sanction their sins. They have alot to answer for before God. We will never comply with sin.

It seems to me that religion is an enemy of patriotism when it promotes its supernatural law over the secular law of the land. Atheism, at its core, is patriotic.

Biblically, it is the case of the accuser actually being the culprit, for ever since break away Anglicans, episcopals, even unto the Protestant & Reformation groups & others, the Catholic Church has been accused, supported by Monarchs & Governments to be the "Harlot Babylon" of the Biblical revelations & to this is their works which includes the Obama taxations as a deliberate ploy directed against the Church & its beliefs, thinking they serve god, except that they chase a delusion, for the revelation of the prophecies both off the Old testament & the New are clearly showing that the very accusers are the accused trying to bring about a false prophecy of their own making, through leavening of the laws by herod, to the saying that when ever the law is leavened it invariably goes against the faith in the true GOD, to the words of Joshua in the congregation of original Israel "Neither to the left nor to the right, Neither add nor subtract" again to the words of Jesus "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees & Herod".
