Woman posts pics of own abortion online, receives praise Comments

An anti-life activist has surreptitiously photographed her own abortion and posted the images online in what she claims is an effort to "demystify" the practice. The woman, who uses the name "Jane Young" on the site, claims the imagery commonly used by pro-life activists, is mere propaganda and that women are being used as pawns in a national debate.  Continue Reading

Rob, "Honoring the distinct rights of the human person" is hitting the nail on the head. Those who are Pro-Choice, do not see the difference between that of a living unborn person, and the living slave of the world. Both are Equal; in they both have No Choice in where they find themselves. SCIENCE ACKNOWLEDGES that Both persons are indeed ALIVE and LIVING. They (whoever they are), dumbfound me! How can they not call abortion Murder? Surely it is not with reasonable educated thinking they arrive at their own conclusion? One would think Rob, that aside from the stigma? of our being Catholic, Secularism could turn to Dickens. He wrote of the awful greed and inhumanities of his era: Easiest remembrance for young and old alike is the character of Scrooge. Yes, it takes the loss of Ego, the emptiness of one's whole self, like Scrooge on Christmas morn, to be able to see. Transformation.( Yes Rob, this is my continued post to you.) NOW, Have you an idea, whereby, people can understand to honor the distinct rights of the human person, born or unborn? I guess we really don't do it of the living with all the crimes do we? I also bring that questions up because of the sex ed. in school at lower or all levels in public schools. Blessings

Rob, Unfortunately, sin, and slavery, were a part of the evolving mind of the world of mankind as they still are today. What we call sin today was not a sin in G. Washington's day...(here I allude to slavery, because mankind itself had not come to the conclusion that it was a sin, correct me if I am wrong) although he (G.W.) himself was personally was evolving in his heart and mind on this subject through experience, God, Prayer, and his wife. Martha was the one who asked him to set their slaves Free upon his death. I believe the seed was there. At the birth of our country, but ages upon ages of world history had lead mankind to a knowledge of slaves and war. Most of man's mind was oblivious to any other thought. I do not judge a man because of the past era he lived in. Just like, Native American Indians and the Wild West. We are in Today's mindset, and will be judged for today's word's and actions. If one dwells on the past, one misses today. Rob, I understand what you are saying. At your age it is normal. Wisdom will soon come and speak the words that I have said. It is a matter of perception. And not letting the other team, as it were, through you off your guard. I write this because this is the second post I see on slavery. Geeez! The past of that awful time we didn't have to live in! If you are upset with slavery, do something about world wide human trafficing, which is human slavery still going on since the beginning of time. And, getting larger because of our great technologies! I know, this world is not perfect!. Always Prayerful Blessings...

Your theology is a little wrong. I think God might be offended by abortion but he is much much more offended by not keeping the sabbath, if the Bible is anything to go by.

Anyone who understands the process of human reproduction would not be at all surprised by the photographs on Ms. Young's website. An unborn child at six weeks' gestation is very tiny - this is, after all, just two weeks past the time that a woman would first notice that her period was late - assuming the pregnancy is being dated from the first day of the woman's last period, which is the standard protocol. There are believed to be many pregnancies that end around the time of a woman's expected period and are never even noticed - it is not a huge amount of blood or tissue at that point. But are we seriously going to argue that the smaller the child the more acceptable it is to end his/her life? Under what other situation of morality or law would that be considered a rational argument? It's amazing the mental gymnastics people are willing to do to justify their "choices"...

Pondered, if your aborted pregnancy had ever gotten to the point that it threatened your life, then the child could have been delivered and possibly saved. Nobody is saying that women should die in order to continue their pregnancies - that would be kind of silly, wouldn't it? I wonder at what point compassion demands that we consider the fact that we were all unborn children in our mothers' wombs? To say - or imply - that a person's life is not worth living because he or she might be born into a difficult situation is a very unjust point of view. Women have many, many choices today - let's not allow ourselves to be pitted against our unborn children - our own flesh and blood - in some perverse attempt to achieve greater "equality". When I was younger, I thought as you did. I pray for a conversion of your heart, because women can speak very powerfully on behalf of their unborn children if they allow their hearts to be open to the truth.

Here is an article from the COLFS website regarding fathers of aborted babies:

As of the publication date of this newsletter, the United States has no laws protecting the rights of fathers in decisions of life or death for their unborn babies. While some men may coerce women to kill their offspring, the Priests for Life website states that many men are additional victims of the abortion industry. 1
Some studies prove that abortion’s impact on men can include symptoms of “depression, guilt, anger, grief, and shame.” 2 These symptoms are similar to those experienced by women who abort. Even though the father is credited for half of the baby’s DNA, the mother’s possession of the fetus is the only factor the law seems to consider.
At Culture of Life Family Services, we believe that men whose babies have been aborted are still fathers to those never given a chance to fully live. They are fathers who won’t have an opportunity to play catch with their aborted sons. They are fathers who will never walk their aborted daughters down a wedding aisle. They are fathers whose progeny from the aborted child will never come to fruition.
The staff at COLFS ministers to both women and men who feel that there is no choice but death for their unborn children. Without judgment, our crisis pregnancy coordinator reaches out to couples to prevent them from experiencing future pain and suffering. Our doctors and medical staff lovingly provide answers to all questions that moms and dads ask. By saving the baby’s life, all members of the family have a chance at living fully.
Father’s Day is a time to thank God for the blessings of life. This year, please pray for our mission and the fathers and mothers we touch. We can’t forget to include sidewalk counselors in our petitions. They are the true warriors against the trauma that abortion causes. A majority of our crisis pregnancy patients are brought to us by those who stand outside abortion facilities and lovingly lead abortion-intent women and couples to the light of life.
COLFS wishes all dads a happy Father’s Day, with the prayer that every man, who has been blessed with the gift of new life, can truly celebrate.

Also, don't tell me that that's not a baby! I've seen it, up close and personal. Long before I ever dreamed of being pregnant, in a biology lab, magnified. Believe me, it's a baby!! If you are a student, maybe you should "take the course". An insect, if you grind it under your foot, loses all appearances of being so when it's mashed together. It still retains the essence of being an insect, only it's life has been ground out. Ponder that!

@ponderer.............First, let me say that I'm sorry for any pain that you experienced in childhood; but, I for one, am sick and tired of people who use their past to justify the wrongs that they commit in the present. You call yourself a "ponderer". It's obvious to me that you are not thinking at all, but instead, regurgitating what our current culture has fed you! I too had a horrendous childhood. I won't go into the tawdry details of it here. You know why? There were many, many times when through my early teen years that I wished that I had been aborted!! Yet, in the course of the last 2 yrs. my life has made such a turn around that I can see now that the trials I sufferred at the hands of the adults in my life were given to me so that I could remain strong thoughout my own adulthood. Secondly, it is the mother of all lies to say that a woman can be either a parent or have an education. The two are not mutually exclusive. I'm in my last year of a 5 yr major in the field of environmental toxicology. That is not at all light weight studies! I've been married to the love of my life for a little over a year now. Last fall, my bc pills were recalled. My PP physician very strongly advised that I have an abortion because of the potential side effects of another medication that I was taking at that time. Pregnancy was NOT on my agenda. It would have been the perfect opportunity and the perfect "excuse" for me to end it. I did consider it. I had planned to proceed. I could not bear the idea of bringing a child into this world that was horribly deformed and challenged. The decision to include my husband in my choice was the best that I ever made! I couldn't get past "he's this 'child's' parent also". We went together to a physician who specializes in at risk pregnancies. I went through some very frightening times. But, my husband was there right beside me. If a man loves you, truly loves you, he won't ask you to give up your soul. If a woman truly loves a man, she includes and trusts him. If you (either of you) have to exclude the other, that's not love as we're intended to love. And, btw...........my school, my profs were supportive and helpful. Most of the classes, with the exception of a few labs, were available for me to take on-line. The others, I'll complete when I return this fall. It put me behind maybe, at the most, 6 months, if that. And, our little boy is beautiful and looks just like his daddy!!!!!!!!! You need to respect yourself. You can't do that if you're sprawled on an examining table having life sucked out of you. You should not allow circumstances to dictate who you are or the woman that you will become. Respect yourself.

Amazing how pro-choice groups consider it a baby at six weeks gestation when it is not an "inconvenience". They all agreed on her post on how it looks like blood and were amazed. Well, if you violently shred up my body into nothing, I will probably resemble a pool of blood too. Their argument is very illogical. I pray so much for the conversion of sinners here in America and China too. Such a sad time. I firmly believe abortion offends our God more than any other sin.

Pray, pray, pray my crusade prayer for Ireland (32)

    O Mother of Salvation
Pray for your children in Ireland to prevent
The wicked act of abortion from being inflicted upon us
Protect this holy nation from sinking deeper into despair
From the darkness which covers our country

Rid us of the evil one who wants to destroy your children yet to be born
Pray that those leaders will have the courage to listen to those who love your Son
So that they will follow the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Amen.

Go now my child and tell my children in Ireland that they must be strong. They must stand up for what is right.

They must never be afraid to proclaim the truth, the Holy Word of God, no matter how difficult this may be.

    Your beloved Queen of Heaven
