Former U.S. President spearheading women's health issues in Africa Comments

While former U.S. President George W. Bush faces some often harsh criticism as commander in chief from those who claim he led the nation into unpopular wars and additional criticism from opponents who claim he initiated failed economic policies, he has taken on a new role as an advocate for women's health in Africa. Both he and his wife Laura Bush have recently opened a women's health clinic in Kabwe, Zambia. Continue Reading

I wonder how many he plans to take home with him. Will he be stopping over in Iraq to visit the graves of babies that died under the US invasion?

Both President Bushs and their families are truly class acts and America should be grateful for their service to the country and the world.

God Bless you Laura and George.

John Galt is absolutely correct. I would also add that both wars were wars of necessity that became unpopular due to the constant harping of the left, a left that lectures others about freedoms and rights and injustices done to humanity but will do little if any of the real work to promote such concepts. This is a good and decent man.

George and Laura are doing the Lord's work and God will bless them for it. May the Kingdom of our beloved Christ be expanded by their efforts!

    Matthew 25:37-40:
Jesus said "Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

A good and decent man, George W. Bush truly believes in helping people and this just shows it. He doesn't do these types of things just for political gain, as does our current President.

@John Galt Spot on! Burying a criticism that is by most experts' opinions an utter falsehood in an ostensibly flattering piece is an old, cheap, liberal tactic of trying to solidify/give credibility to the falsehood. "After all, if you are paying him a compliment, why would you criticize him unless it was true, and undeniably so?" The author was not worthy of this subject.

You notice that unlike "Jimmy" Carter, George Bush (and his father) do things like this without hoards of pre-event press releases to cover their good deeds. I won't even bother to talk about "Bubba" Clinton, because if he ever had a thought about helping out someone other than himself, it actually would be earth-shattering news. ...Oh, and speaking of narcissism, what help has Barry Obama provided to Africa, particularly the Christian minorities, or even to his own brother George, who by UK news accounts lives in a hut on the outskirts of Nairobi? Nothing, aside from ensuring that the "Dark Continent" will get even darker under Sharia law.

Nice character assassination in the opening paragraph, on a lead in to a story about something good the man has done. Why does Obama not face any "harsh criticism" for the same and worse policies? The media has no shame.
