Some of the comments I'm reading here are profoundly ignorant even bordering on bigotry. One even went so far as to call atheists fascists! For moral obtuseness that comment takes the cake. Lack of belief in deities has nothing to do with fascism---the majority of high ranking officials in the Nazi Party were practicing Catholics for crying out loud. Evil people come in all shapes, sizes and religions. Someone else says atheists just "want to take over". Hmm... sounds a little familiar like maybe something religions has done or tried to do for centuries. Another theist says atheists have no explanation for "creation". Notice the unwarranted assumption that existence was created?---and that a who (not a what) must be responsible? Is positing a supernatural, omnipotent mind-without-a-brain who just somehow happens to exist and makes things happen by pure force of will.... is any kind of compelling explanation?

The problem is that atheist do not intend to coexist with Christians. They want to take over!

Bill: I am amazed that you are shocked that Catholics or Christians do not believe in Free Will or Free Choice or Liberty for everyone. To Whom have you been speaking? Naturally, we are not pleased That you and yours shall not be Truly Free, or as my sister would say, "The Devil's really been working overtime"=In mod psych=evil. Just drop the D. In which case, I will say, Secularism is an evil of society. If you think it's not, look the word up in the dictionary. I Choose to not be around such persons. But, You are entitled to your Free Choice, and I am entitled to mine. Now I have a question to anyone??? Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Christian do not (anymore, since a secular law was passed) have meetings in public school. When I first read this article,(sorry, one cannot help what one thinks), it sounded like the beginning of Hitler's School Activities. And that my young one's, you have seen movies of...have you not? Seriously, we pray for you. "Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Pray For Us".

My dad used to always tell me to always act right because there is always someone watching you and learning from you. I sometimes wonder if the growth of atheism has something to do with the poor witness of so many Catholics. But as for the right to be in the schools....of course they should be allowed. Free will is an awesome thing that even God does not strip from us. We are free to pursue or own demise.

Yes, go atheists ... go wonder at the splendor of creation. You can secularize, rationalize and theorize all you want but you will never ever be able to explain the human experience of beauty, which is nothing less than the silent sound of the soul praising the Creator for the wonders of His creation.

It is amazing how many people are against equal access. Sorry but the constitution guarantees it. I wonder what all these people upset about a secular student club are afraid of... Is it that their worldviews are so weak they cannot compete in a marketplace of ideas?

If not, why would they not welcome the diversity?

Groups like SSA are very needed. Judging from the comments, it seem some people here never met an atheist before. You guys would benefit attending a SSA meeting.

    Go atheists!

As a society, as a community of persons, do we have the right to torture eachother? No! Why do some folks stress their belief that it is just fine to corrupt the morals of a minor. We as a people have previously passed laws to the contrary. Why? Simply because if we give our children false information,( any false information), we know that it is a timebomb which will torture and maim in the future. Evil has an agenda. If you don't want to protect yourself you have the free will to not do so, however even a dog knows to protect its young, and even a dog can detect evil. Should the dog sit on a parkbench licking a bowl of God given gravey while the hyeanas scatter and feast on the puppies? You might want to go to a school board meeting once in a while.

. Avak, & Brian Westley, Competition, really?? You think this is about competition? Sorry, no fear on my end, I know who will win in the end, as I have said in my comments. And for you Avak, have you not noticed that already church groups are shunned in all public schools, the Pledge of Allegiance has been forgotten, remember, "one Nation under God:, and God forbid have a moment of silence in schools. Now we even have a President that is forcing our Christian facilities to pay for things that we don’t believe should even be taking place. May the Lord Jesus grant you both Peace+

Only "the fool says in his heart: 'There is no God.'" (Ps. 14:1, Ps 53:1) Why is that? Because the entire universe attests to the Glory of God! There is no getting around God--the Creator, as if some "thing" (like that most recent scientific discovery in the news these past few days...) could come from absolutely nothing (no All-powerful Supreme Being) pre-existing!
