Should A Christian Support Obama? Comments

Dear Friend, I know we disagree on politics. We don't have to agree on political issues, but since you chose to reprimand me by stating that as a Christian I should not say the things I say about Obama, I must firmly disagree. Respectfully, I must prove that you are wrong in your assertion that being a Christian means you must like everyone. Continue Reading

My parents belong to the Roman Catholic church and have blindly voted Democrat for every election of their lives.

Even after I explained the exact same points to my mother about this current insatiable baby bloodthirsty president and the clear position of the church on pre-born baby murder, my mother (who had wonderful 8 babies) still votes for this murderer. It is unbelievable to me.

The hypocrisy of the Roman Catholic church is truly unbelievable to me.

To a person, there are no true conservative non-Catholic Christians who could bring themselves to vote for Obama because of this one issue of murder of innocent life.

I do not believe your leaders speak out enough on this issue.

And I think that is out of fear that feminist leaning women would leave the church in droves.

But that's just me being judgmental.

It seems to me the Roman Catholic church would be clearly in the lead on this issue.

But I do not see it.

I have said all along, I feel that this man is not my president. I have been old enough to vote for this office for about 50 years, and there have been presidents, of both parties, I haven't liked very well. This one, however, stands for nothing I believe in! Abortion, 'partial birth' abortion, same sex marriege, to name the main ones I, as a Christian, find serious fault with. Then there are the 'more political' ones, though 'non-support' of Irsael falls under both, 'kissing up' to our enemies, 'dissing' our allies, bigger, and biiger gov't, etc. Then I ask, 'who is this man really'? With what we actually know of his background, he couldn't get a job stocking shelves in a grocery store! (Mind, I not putting that job down, only saying that any employer has to know something of the background of a prospective 'hiree'). So, thank you for the well written article, and yes as a Christian, we must stand and speak up for what is right, especially scripturally right!

This is the most well thought out, most intelligently written letters I have read in a very long time. I agree with 100% of your points. This letter needs to be sent to the President himself and to everyone in Congress and to many others. I also agree that we do not have to like everyone because we are Christians. We should love every one because everyone is a gift from God but loving does not require "liking". As Christians we are called to love and respect but if someone is not living according to God's will, we have a right and a duty to share the truth so that they can repent. Bravo!!

The world has always made war against the Church and its teachings. You are absolutely right, we are responsible to God and need to exercise sound thinking. This poor brothers and sisters in the world are too far from the Truth of the Church. They really don't believe in sin. That's why this president is their leader and not the Lord. They cannot discern properly anymore, but they are as responsible as we are. Truth doesn't change. It is not a relative term, as they have been indoctrinated to believe. They have sold out their souls by adopting beliefs that are offensive to God. We need to pray for them and for ourselves not to fall into temptation.

Very good letter. I just hope the Naacp people read it too. Marriage is under attack and last year they voted to support it as a civil right, just like Obama. Blacks need to distance themselves from the homosexual and abortion activists. It is not enough to say you are promarriage-prolife. Voting is an action, and you have to vote only for proven prolife-pro marriage candidates, regardless of their religion, race or gender.
