Cardinal Timothy Dolan: President Obama's Remarks on Marriage 'Deeply Saddening' Comments

We cannot be silent in the face of words or actions that would undermine the institution of marriage, the very cornerstone of our society. The people of this country, especially our children, deserve better. Unfortunately, President Obama's words today are not surprising since they follow upon various actions already taken by his Administration that erode or ignore the unique meaning of marriage. obama is at a cross road. He is stucked between two decisions. Upholding marriage and risk the chance of not getting re-elected and redefining marriage and get a huge political support from those pushin for gay-rights. He must be made to understand that the fate of millions and generations unborn lies in in his hands. Let the president reflect on pilate's judgement, when TRUTH(Jesus) was murdered and DEATH(barnabas) was set free. The redefinining of marriage will be a catastrophe, a spiritual hurricane. Let us pray that God touches Mr. President to make the right decision. God bless america

I am very perplexed and fearful that this administration will somehow gain another term thus insuring that these and other policies and attitudes will not only continue but arguably proliferate. The only good I can find in these pronouncements is that they are coming in the prologue to the election. No serious Christian can tolerate this complete disregard to our serious heritage of family at the hub of society and marriage being the stabilizing force in all families. If this process is allowed to continue, our country will necessarily be dismantled and reorganized while most of it's poorest citizens won't even have the ability to read what has happened to them. Wake up America! Vote like these and other stories are an indication of things to come.

The President's position on this issue is a political calculation. He has written off religious based voting as a republican vote. The gay vote is powerful in some parts of the swing states and it is this vote along with other traditional democratic voting he is counting on to win. The Archbishop's position and reasoning is falling on deaf ears because he wants to get re-elected by going a different route. So it's time to," put on the whole armor of God" and try to convince atheist to believe in God, to convince the lukewarm to become fervent and to convince our clery to excommunicate these so called Catholics. Tolerance is a virtue of a person without convictions. It's time to defend the Catholic philosophy of life.

Cardinal Dolan is a professional upright man. He may or may not realize that Obama is his antithesis. Obama is a little punk who probably didn't read the Cardinal's letter. If he did read it, he probably chuckled and tossed it over his shoulder. This is what we the people are dealing with. It is not just Obama. It is his entire Marxist Party Party who are in lock step with him. After Obama is gone, his Party has plenty more where he came from.
