Hope and Change? Hype and Blame! Comments

When U.S. President Barack Obama ran as president in 2008, one of his slogans was "hope and change." The Republican National Committee in a head-start against Obama's official campaign kickoff in Ohio and Virginia on Saturday is a special ad campaign denouncing this pledge as "Hype and Blame." I have taken on a new philosophy when voting. I will judge these guys on two factors, the economy and life issues. If the economy is still in the dumps, you are fired. If abortion is still legal, you are fired. I don't care about party etc.

Juneau Alaska: Oh puleeze!!! You had better go back to your history books. Books that haven't been tainted by the Democratic/Socialist/Communists. God bless.

I think it is about time for Catholics to get off their rears and understand that one point that the Democrats stand for is abortion. The killing of life. No matter how you put it put your faith where you mouth is and stand up for what is right. Remember you get nothing for free, there is always a cost. Obama may have saved some jobs but the future of our children and grandchildren will be paying for this debt for the rest of their lives. So how proud is the some who are behind President, I guess they want something for nothing. WAKE UP AMERICA AND ALL CATHOLICS WAKE UP.

I'm not fond of talking politics in forums. But, I somewhat regret not voting for President Obama in 2008. After persuing an easily searchable list of his achievements being defined by Executive Orders, important legislation, and foreign and domestic initiatives, I found them impressive. I encourage anyone who is wondering what he's actually done to do a similar search. On a different note, where would we be today had McCain/Palin won? That duo, as noted by Steven Pinker, tried to advance the notions that expertise was overrated, homespun sincerity is better than sophistication, and conviction is more important than analysis! President Obama isn't impeccable, I am disappointed he has not shut down the tax-payer funded, quackery-riddled placebo organization called the National Council for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine. But, I think he's got my vote next time around and will expect a lot from him. It would not surprise me if he is seen by historians as a great president, on par with Madison and Jefferson in the coming century. Cheers! ~Mike

Obama is nothing but a puppet for 60's radicals. Our nation is reaping the fruit of the drug hippy generation. This is who is in charge now.I have never felt such loathing for a president ever as I do for this jerk.I don't even recognize him as the president..it's amazing how the Democrats keep finding losers to disgrace this office. For what Nixon may have done is nothing as compared with what is done and goes on unpunished today by this administration.I keep hoping I'll wake up to find that he along with his administration of radicals are placed under arrest for their corruption and disregard for the Constitution..but then again..we have Congress to blame as well for their silence.Whats next?Revolution to save our country from falling into the global one govt rule that they seem slowly yet intent on building?

Obama is the worst president in my 62 plus years and probably in the history of this country. He is a racist whom I truly believes hates this country. He plays people against one another: whites against blacks and rich against poor. He promised to be a uniter but he is going out of his way to be a divider. He takes credit for things he had nothing to do with and blames others for the things he does wrong. He's nothing but a cheap phoney and a poor excuse for a human being.
