Unexpected Papal Correction stuns radical nuns Comments

Radical nuns, watch out! The Vatican has your number. The Leadership Conference of Women Religious, the largest organization of Catholic nuns in the US, has been singled out for promoting "feminist themes incompatible with the Catholic faith." Continue Reading

Shawna: Do you not hear the Call of Christ back to the Church? It is hard to imagine all of Denver or Colo. w/o a priest who supports Right To Life. It seems you need to find your family a Church home. Prayerful Blessings...

Hyster: Thank you for your post! It is a conscientious reading of what seems to be going on today. But I do disagree partially on this point: "He died so that we too will die to sin, as he did." Unless I misunderstand you, or you made a typo, "...as he did". should be omitted. Jesus was Conceived With Out Sin. It is WE sinners he died for. Blessings...

Rob, is your question asking whether the Vatican is sexist because they are investigating the Radical Left wing nuns?

A prophecy. Amos 8:11 It speaks of this country in its current state. There is a famine in this land, a famine of the Word of God. People are NOT reading the Word, so they are unable to stand against the tactics of the devil. They trust in and look to the flesh to lead them instead of reading the Word and let themselves be lead by the Spirit. People think they can find God without reading His Word. One can't know God's character and God's commandments without reading the Word. Jesus is the bread of life, the Word become flesh. Unless you eat His body (devour the Word) daily, you will spiritually starve to death. One can think one has it all together and living right until one starts reading the Word, which transforms people. When the Word is read, one of two things happen. 1. A person repents and changes their life...tries to find the narrow path. 2. They do not want to make the sacrifice necessary to do as Jesus taught, and they stop reading the Word. One must get out of the world and into the Word. This culture will never satisfy, will never give peace. Only getting right with God gives peace that surpasses all understanding. Speaking from experience, from the hard-headed school of hard knocks. People who think God's laws died with Christ on the cross should read Matt 5:18. It changed my life. Jesus didn't die so that we can sin, He died so that we too will die to sin, as He did. John 14:15 Those who love Him will keep His commandments. Psalm 119:97

I am sickened by the opening salvo of this article: "Radical nuns, watch out. The Vatican has your number." Is this the language of a Christian? It is not. The very first and most important command of our Lord is that we act in Love. Always in Love.

And why are your casting deaf ears upon those who have served the cause of this Church so well, who have given so much to the poor and sick?

Makes me wonder why this investigation is limited only to women religious? Why not extend it to all religious, inclusive of Catholic institutions?

@Former Woman Religious, It sounds as though you were pressured out. I have been well aware of the Radical Left-wing element in the ranks of the bishops and clergy. Am I wrong, do I sense that the Foxes, wolves, and weasels are in charge of the "Hen House"?? There was a radical Left wing guy who was our pastor who left to become the "Head Guy" in charge of the seminary. I couldn't think of a worse creep to be in charge of a seminary. You were on the 'Inside' and know first hand.

Jack Burg wrote: "How can an organization that represents 80 percent of the religious women in the country be counted as radical?" Well, when they disagree so profoundly with such basic fundamental teachings of the Catholic Church as do those religious women, yeah. They can be counted as radical because they are. The only honest things for those religious women to do is to get with the Catholic Church's; program and submit to correction, or leave the Catholic Church's religious orders.

As a former Bride of Christ...I got too sick (chronic migraines) to stay, I can vouch that the LCWR is EXTREMELY RADICAL IN IT'S FEMINIST IDEOLOGIES. Just because there are sisters, brothers, priests, nuns and monks who are in the Catholic Church, it does not necessarily mean they follow, believe in our Holy Mother the Church's Teachings. Anyone can take care of the poor and marginalized. Even atheists do that. Our Church's Religious should stand out by not only their prayers and good works but also their type of dress, ie: habit, veil, clerical garb...
Blessed John Paul II wrote this in in the encyclical, "Vita Consecrata". This encyclical lays out what all religious are to be following. Let us pray for the archbishop who will be overseeing the LCWR in the coming years and the sisters who are part of the LCWR. May the Holy Spirit soften and enlighten their hearts. Amen.
