Obama and the Catholic fifth column - a match contrived in Hell Comments

Nearly 25 percent of all Americans are members of the Roman Catholic Church. That is virtually 1 in 4 Americans -- and voters. So why is Obama attacking a full quarter of the American population? And why is the bulk of that quarter allowing him to get away with it? Continue Reading

You Ain't Seen Nuthin' Yet ! just wait til the second term starts. closures, arrests, a death or two, depositions, confiscations, more arrests, intimidation, thug beatings, more closures, more confiscations. And then, after the second term, when the USA and Europe have been united into a single government thanks to the Second Constitutional Convention (hey, he's got a mandate! having stolen the election with fraudulent votes), the Vatican will be imperiled, a new Pope will lead the Church in the final battle. Meanwhile, will Israel have attacked Iran...it must. Will all the nations of the world be mobilized for war...looks like a possibility....gotta love the end times. Maranatha!!

Ellie, do you know what the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act" is, and do you know what the "Freedom of Choice Act" is? Do you know about the "Mexico City Policy"? Do you understand our president's position on these things and its profound implications? These items are a matter of life and death for countless unborn children. Yes, the scandals you are referring to have damaged the church badly, but supporting a president who is actively engaged in battling Catholic doctrine is not right. Two wrongs do not make a right. Also, have you taken the time to notice that throughout the 2,000 year history of the church, there have been periods where evil men have infiltrated Her and made bad decisions? Have you also noticed by one way or another, the Holy Spirit manages to purge out these bad leaders and that the church doctrine remains pure. The Church is protected by God and ALWAYS snaps back. I would urge you to do some soul searching on this matter.

Stop the insanity ??? Some of the comments posted read as if everyone is ignorant of this man's (Obama) attempts to subvert our church. It doesn't matter NOW what dead bishops did 2 generations ago. It only matters what is happening TODAY, and today there is a vast majority of our bishops and priests trying to lead a flock that is struggling like a great tug of war, kicking, screaming and grunting as they try to lead us to the right way of thinking and acting on behalf of our church, our faith and our freedoms.

I too touched a hot stove as a child, not because my parents were derelict in their parenting, but because I was a child and thought as a child and had to learn for myself what a hot stove feels like. Since then, I have grown up and would teach any child not to touch a hot stove, but chances are, they are going to touch that hot stove because they have to learn for themselves.

My question then is this.....when are you going to wake up, grow up and learn that this man and this administration will stop at nothing to force us to subvert everything we believe and love, all for the sake of power and money?

This is no wild accusation or hysterical outcry, this IS the way it is, and we just keep on marching to that beat and let it happen. I for one, will not. I stand with our bishops, priests and all people of good judgement in what is happening in this country, and will do whatever I can to assist the resistance to keep our freedoms that so many have fought and died for.

If not NOW, when? If not US, then who?

I am not altogether comfortable with blaming the rank and file of Catholics. What has been said may be true but the methods for changing the situation will not lie in blame, anger and despair. It is so easy to come across like a whine. If we, as "informed" Catholics, want to make a difference we must show the world that we are confident, rejoicing and full of love for mankind. Whining because we are not always supported, comes across as if we do not trust in God.

Our goal should be to bring joy and energy for our Mother the Church. We have a powerful enemy in secularism and its leader. We must not fall for the tactics used by that enemy. Just look at the faces of secularism. They are firm, angry and resolute. Let us be open, joyful and confident. Toss away sarcasm and fear. Laugh with love and generosity. These are weapons the enemy does not and can not understand.

Your article is right on the mark!.
There are, no doubt, many active, devout Catholics in the country. However, as a practicing Catholic and active in Church ministry I see most church activities coordinated and run by only a small number of parishoners. Unfortunately, to me, that overall lack of participation at the local level is reflected on the national level, I hope and pray the HHS issue is a wakeup call for more active participation not only for Catholics, but also for all religions. This HHS mandate intrusion is fatal to democracy in this country..

Please stop the insanity! Are you really a Christian, a Catholic? You talk about our president as if he were the devil; however when real evils occur you hide them like the abuse of children by the church (Baltimore, Boston). I love my church, but speak like Jesus and not like the Pharisees. God bless you and may the Holy Spirit guide your tongue.

Rob, when our parishes refused to "teach as Jesus did" and neglected the education of Catholics of all ages, then the bishops did not take action and must shoulder much of the responsibility for ignorant Catholics. Once Catholics are presented with Church teaching and reject it, then their ignorance becomes their responsibility. That said, the bishops asked for a government health care system and they got it, along with the broken promises of the Obama administration. They are at fault for trying to shed their responsibility to lead the faithful in the implementation of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus said nothing about getting the government to care for the poor, the hungry, or the sick, but the bishops have subverted His words to their political agenda. And Jesus wept ...

This IS NOT your granddaddy's church, guys. It's ironic to me that the families who obey the church and have 5 or 6 children are the ones who cannot attend the catholic schools. They cannot afford them. Therefore the wealthy non-catholics are escaping into our schools and they don't want to hear about our doctrines. Ta Da!

There is no doubt the day has arrived for a full blown attack on Christianity.
Also the pressure to remove all values of faith which have held civil society together for centuries is coming from political controlled sources.
So how do we defend those values and fight to retain and/or reestablish sanity?
If it is simply the election of public officials who share our values there is little hope.
Why? they have little chance of being elected in today’s political environment.
Why? Because the media will crucify any candidate who tries to run on a platform that is associated with Christian religious values.
The devil is in the dictates and since we have willingly supported him taking control of public eduaction and even invited him into our universties over a period of decades ignoring his progressive invasion and manipulation of Hollwood, television, and the media he now can and does have the power to identify, define, and dictate for and to the general public what is of value and who is to be trusted with their lives and future.
We have lost our perception of individual souls and Gods children along with embracing our union with the one body of Christ. We have sacrificed our unique individuality now convinced it has little value if not part of the contrived and coveted commonality espoused by those controlling what we see, hear, read, and imagine connects us with the power of the majority.

Roman Catholics whom do not comply with the Magisterium leads me to think to be one
of the reasons the response was changed to "and the good of all his "Holy Church," in the
Liturgy of the Eucharist Preparation of the altar and the offerings!
