God help us all if Obama gets another term. Churches are all upset because he's going to make them fund abortion and contraceptives, this is not the least of the evils you will be forced to do under his law. You will aid in genocide, Elderly with treatable maladies will be turned away to die because their so called healthcare plan will not cover necessary services because of their age. You will ration healthcare to other groups, which could potentially shorten their lifespans. Someone neeeds to read Obamacare fully and publish the results. No-one that signed that legislation ever read it before signing and it will never apply to them. If the legislators had Obamacare, social security and medicare they would have more interest in the programs working. The government as a whole is wrong and corrupt. Need to vote them all out and elect decent people.
Techwreck and Nathan, it's not like the SPLC totally ignores the extreme left. One of their hate categories is Black Power, which often allies itself with Maoism and other communist ideologies. In addition, the reason they don't focus much on environmental extremists is because they focus on hate groups, not terrorist groups. Hate is their emphasis, not violence necessarily.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a respected organization and is always worth listening to. That said, I am not at all concerned about a possible new Civil War. The Civil War was a revolt in which a number of States chose to leave the Union for a new nation-state ruled by something more resembling the old Articles of Confederation or perhaps the present-day European Union. I do not see that happening. These militia groups are, at worst, simply groups of domestic terrorists, well within the competency of our police to handle.
Please spare us from any more stories made up by the Southern Poverty Law Center. To them any one disagreeing with leftist ideology is dangerous. Do they ever warn us about domestic Jihad terrorists, or extreme environmental terrorists? They'll ignore groups and people that actually commit violent acts and cry wolf about groups they assume to be dangerous because of their politics.
Catholic Online should be ashamed for printing such drivel from an extreme left activist group that is devoid of facts and long on propaganda. Doesn't anyone at Catholic Online look for facts to support outrageous allegations, like "However, several individuals belonging to these militias have engaged in plots to attack law enforcement and government officials or to engage in acts of domestic terrorism." And the article cites the Oklahoma City bombing as an example of these "militias", hardly evidence of a current threat to peace and tranquility. I am amazed that Catholic Online bought into the left wing propaganda that is increasing in order to prop up our extreme left wing President's reelection campaign.

Just look at the evidence and makeup your own mind, it's said but I fell we have we have witnessed some false flags.
I just don't trust our government at this time, and that doesn't mean i don't pay tax's and carry a gun or belong to a militia.
You forgot to mention the Christian Identity Ideology many of these groups also Espouse.
Uncertainty breeds division.Division breeds violence. Unity is trust. Trust is security. Jesus I trust in You. Jesus unites all to God through the power of the Holy Spirit. God is Love. Love unites and bonds all to trust easy other."In God we Trust"! Not such a bad reminder to have printed on our money as a reminder. Civil War is a result of the violation of the very meaning of the word TRUST!
Crazy people are always going to look for some excuse to validate what they are doing. While these groups do pose a risk, no more than organized street gangs who have been killing eachother and innocent people for decades. But I have always found it interesting how we are so willing to fight "terrorism" in another country but leave so much violence untouched in our own country? If Mexican cartels pose such a risk to our country, why not send troops into Mexico and stamp them out? We sort of pick and choose what we pursue. But should we really be suprised that people are mad at the government??
Members of "militias" are not the only ones who feel we will lose our Republic if Obama gets another term. And he will "regulate" the Second Amendment out of existence. Once you control the media, control banks, loans, property, unions, speech, religion, healthcare, etc. and then disarm the public, what happens? Read history, but not the way the progressives have re-written it. This has happened before.
