Rick Santorum Resets the Race: Wins Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado and a Path to the Nomination Comments
The real story was the magnitude of what happened in this extraordinary vote. Not only did Rick Santorum win the Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado showdowns, but he did so decisively. Tuesday night the inevitability balloon of a Romney candidacy exploded. Rick Santorum has just pulled off an historic political upset and the Republican primary race has been completely reset. This morning upon waking, my wife told me about Rick Santorums' victories. My first response was joy and my next was to thank God. This country(us) is what it is because our ancestors wanted to have government stay out of religious choices. It was not to control or stop religious freedom. It was to enhance the relationship between the individual and the Creator. All due appearances, God WAS pleased. With the far leaning left calling themselves social-minded and the far leaning right calling themselves money-makers, it is no wonder so many people have BEEN fooled. These are the two most inportant issues today. The poor and the overall economy. There will always be need for improvement(progress) in these areas. They appeal to all. Do not be fooled! The only way that this deterioration will end is to have a third party. Rick Santorum is that third party. He is the Constitutional/Declaration Candidate within the republican platform. He is sanity and justice. He speaks of manufacturing so we can buy AMERICAN MADE again. God Bless America through a man after His own heart.

When I tuned into the news last night and saw that Santorum was leading in all three contests by BIG margins I almost started to cry. Could it be a result of the publicity from Obama's latest attack on our religious freedoms? I don't know. I only hope and pray that the support for this sincere and right thinking man continues to grow.
Problem, he doesn't have much money, and the attack machine will now start in on him in earnest. But the one thing he has always had is that he is true to himself. Yes, as a Senator he did make some compromises with his leadership over the years. It is hard for a legislator to become president because they have to make many votes on many bills which usually have many parts to them, some of the parts not even related to what the main purpose of the bill is supposed to be. This makes it easy for opponents to find votes and be able to say, "well, he voted for..." and fill in the blank with whatever unpopular portion of whatever bill you want. But compared to the baggage of Gingrich and the flip-flopping of Romney he looks incredibly consistent.
GO RICK!!!
I believe it's called a hat trick where I come from-though not a miracle, it was a sort of miracle on nice because of determination, steadfastness and hard work. people love to see an underdog take to the ice, while the others can't keep their sticks on it. and people are starting to see that, although our current administration says it can't control the weather in these stormy times, a guy like Santorum is pointing out when this administration pees on our backs and calls it rain (now that's a line from a Clint Eastwood flick to remember). Santorum in my little neck of the woods got over 50% of the straw poll.
I live in Mormon country and am seeing many of them going to Santorum. He will be a great president. And we pray....
Senator Santorum is "spot on" on pro life and pro family issues, and he is a good Catholic. But frankly, I suspect the seniors are frightened of him, and this is why: I personally know many elderly people who are living off social security and say, a military or civilian Federal pension who have expensive and potentially terminal diseases like insulin dependent diabetes or some form of cancer (all expensive, tax based entitlements) are frightened to death of someone as conservative as Santorum (or Gingrich) becoming President and losing their income, Medicare and (Military) Tricare For Life funded medications, and hospital-based medical care. A pro-life, pro-family moderate Republican they will support, but not a hard or relatively hard conservative. I fear that nominating a hard core conservative will drive them into the arms of the Democrats out of "enlightened self-interest" (personal survival) and that could hand the November election to the Democrats.
AMEN! You nailed it. I relate to Santorum. He most represents my social and economic values. I hope that a "practicing" Catholic can get elected in a secular, pagan America.
I've been dreaming for so long that America will find its moral courage and once again be truly great - if this man wins the Presidency it's a certainty!
Hope lives!
This is a very informative article about Rick Santorum, and suggests that he is not only the right nominee for the Republican party, but, beyond that, the stuff of which good Presidents are made. I hope he wins. Having said that, I want to sound a note of caution. We tend to invest our candidate with all the virtues, and repose in him all our hopes for a better world. Inevitably we are disappointed. It seems, moreover, that the "honeymoon" period after the election of a new leader is getting shorter and shorter. So, please, if you support Rick Santorum, do bear in mind that he will not work miracles, he will not do everything he would like to do, and he will make mistakes. Let us pray for the man and his mission that God will guide his footsteps and keep him on the right path.
