I am a drummer myself and I can say that the music business, like nearly all big businesses, is indeed shady. I've never been a fan of Justin, and I'll admit that I join with my friends in making fun of him sometimes, but he seems like a nice kid with talent. It's really the Disney culture that we should be criticizing, not the individuals it culture grabs, chews up, and spits out.
well, right now, you are existentially right where the devil wants you, Ms. Mallette. Do you need MORE things? Praying for you will not replace you, or Justin, taking real stock of your selves and your relationship to the Man on The Cross, the Living Bread.
Renounce everything the worthless world is throwing at you, and serve the Lord in humility.
Great article! I went to see Never Say Never and was inspired by the fact that they pray before every concert. I loved Justin's relationship with his mom and family. I will keep him in my prayers because he is a light in the dark world of Hollywood and music industry.
Dear Ms. Mallette,
Both you and Justin will be in my prayers. I can only imagine how fearful you may be at times for your sons life and soul as he works through the entertainment industry and grows into a wonderful young man. I am happy that he has a network of people that support him and will look out for him within the industry he is employed with.
Always remember what the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, "For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control." With God at the helm, all things will be possible for both you and Justin. You are truly an inspiration to single parents and God will always be with you and Justin.
I also live in the Atlanta area and am a high school administrator of a local Catholic High School. If there is ever a need for Justin's education with a Catholic school, the Atlanta Archdiocese has wonderful schools to both nurture and arm Justin with the components needed to be a Christ-filled young man in the modern entertainment industry. Our prayers are with you always.
