   Let us remember Pope Leo the Great who kept back the barbian hordes who tried to take out Rome and had ransacked it I believe.
   
   Father ask for his intersession as well to our Lord and yes we will pray for you.
   
   Remember to get before the Eucharist. Which of our lady saints I forget held up the monstrence when the muslims tried to attack the convent? We must have courage and we must stay close to our Lord in the Eucharist. We must have hope in these times of darkness. Pray for intercession above all to our Lady.

   The bottom line is this when all is said and done. Take a look at our world history where relations between Islam and Christianity is concerned and read the Koran. ( and read and understand where that book came from) With Islam there is no separation of religion from state. The state is the religion and the religion is the state and while there are Muslims with the best of intentions to live in peace with Christians, the fundamentalist are always going to be there. They have been for centuries . I recollect that an invasion of Rome itself was prevented by the citizens fasting and saying the rosary many many centuries back. Perhaps if the world is in such a state, we Christians had better start coming out of the closet and living our lives in such a Christian manner that others will have their lives changed for a higher calling. much the way persons changed their lives when they came in contact with St. Francis of Assissi...and get back to saying the rosary daily for world peace.

   I would like to thank the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI for saying words that would defend and console us Catholics here in Basilan. Basilan is a rebel-infested island. It is the Birthplace of Abu Sayyaf. We have exhausted all means to dialogue with them but they continue to hurt us. They have kidnapped and hurt our priests and othey lay people. They have killed Fr. Roel gallrdo here in Basilan. I was kidnapped in 1988 and i personally witnessed how they immediately released their fellow muslims and the christians were brought to the mountains. They have inflicted us severe wounds that we now find it hard to trust and forgive them. They have destroyed the church in lamitan last june 2001 and they bombed our cathedral last april 13, 2010 and killed 9 innocent civilians. And now they just kill whom they wish to kill. We are sick and tired of peace negotiations. Our Bishop Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, DD urged us not to give up, and we priests are trying our best to continue in reaching out to them. Through the Isabela Foundation Inc. (IFI), the social-arm of the Prelature and with the help of Child-Fund Philippines, we continue to help them by sending muslim children to schools and educating them of their rights and peace-building. We can't leave Basilan, we cant stop dialoging with them because the love of Christ urges on. Please pray for us.
   
   Muslim fundamentalists are poisoning the minds of our local muslim brothers and sisters. Please help us pray that kidnapping and terrorism will finally be stopped here in Basilan.
   
   We hope that the Holy Father will continue to support us so we can continue our our evangelization and the preservation of our catholics here, and that the catholic presence will be strongly felt here in this island where there are only 27% christians.

   If the Muslim God that Muslims ascribe to is such a merciless, brutal, unforgiving and violent God, then Let us all pray and ask our Merciful, humble, forgiving and peaceful God of the Christians to come to our aid and to convert the Muslims to see the light.
   It is my humble believe that we should live in this world in harmony and a lot of tolerance towards one another.

   Christ didn't submited to satan or to pilates, or to the sineddrium or to ANY terrestrial power, which are all infected by sin, curruption, poison and evil(satanism). So Maria, I DON'T THINK we should expect and even less ACCEPT PERSECUTION and certain destruction of our lives and of our faith on this earth, at the hands of any satanic force, SPECIALLY jihadists. Urban II called for the crusades against islam and he was and still is absolutely right! Never bow down to evil-islam!!Fight it and defeat it! Didn't Jesus expelled violently the traders from the temple? So why shouldn't we expell , violently if necessary the muslims who are deliberately oppressing, enslaving and killing us???!!??

   Not all Muslims are bad just as not all Christians are good. However, it is wrong of Muslim countries to persecute non Muslims. Christ warned us to expect persecution.

   I just viewed a documentary on religious cults, not focused on Islam, but on pseudo Christian Cults in America. It described in great detail how these cults keep their members under control by isolating them, educating their children in only those things which they want them to know. Their children are not taught world history as most of us were taught. They are taught history and about others as their leaders wish them to believe it, brainwashed from the cradle, unable to form any independent opinion. In this way, they are robbed of free will. I couldn't help but think of these Jihadiists as I viewed this. They are taught to hate, from childhood, anyone who is different or who threatens their deeply ingrained ideology. They function well in western society because they are taught that old axiom, "keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer." I would love to live in a world where all is love and light, but, the world is not that way and tho' I'm not yet out of my teens, I would like to have children someday. I would like for my daughters to walk the streets in America without being required to wear a burqua and to freely partake of the educational and career opportunities which I have been blessed with and I will take up arms to protect that right for them!!!! I apologize to anyone who is offended by that because they believe we should "turn the other cheek", but if memory serves me, Christ was not entirely a "peacemaker". He had his moments and to take one passage from Scripture and say we have to roll over and play dead while our freedoms and way of life are being attacked is a distortion of Scripture. When innocents are being slaughtered because of an evil, distorted ideology; when that is happenning, that is not the time to bow in submission. Pray for peace, fight for Justice!!!! Thank God that in this country we still have the right to bear arms!! Thank God that there are young men and women willing and unafraid to defend our freedoms!!!

   Jesus said in Matthew 6:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of uprightness: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs. we Christian is a God fearing people.we respect humanity especially Human life... but not at all and we admit that because some of our brother and sister Christian is not totally a God centered person.... if the Muslim People said that Islam is a peace religion and then why they always make evil things like bombing, killing innocent people either it is Christian or a Jew... and sometime they killed their innocent women without fair trials.. they imposed their sharia law which is unfair to some...
   apostle Paul said in Galatians Chapter 3 :10 On the other hand, all those who depend on the works of the Law are under a curse, since scripture says: Accursed be he who does not make what is written in the book of the Law effective, by putting it into practice.
   
   11 Now it is obvious that nobody is reckoned as upright in God's sight by the Law, since the upright will live through faith;
   
   if we try to look back and if we try to recall the history, Muslim is in the descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham to the Egyptian women and her name is Hagar a maidservant of Sarah wife of Abraham,Ishmael is the son of a servant women.. and Christian People is in the descendant of Isaac the son of Abraham to his real wife Sarah...God said in Genesis chapter 17:18 Abraham said to God, 'May Ishmael live in your presence! That will be enough!'
   
   19 But God replied, 'Yes, your wife Sarah will bear you a son whom you must name Isaac. And I shall maintain my covenant with him, a covenant in perpetuity, to be his God and the God of his descendants after him....Genesis chapter 17: 21 But my covenant I shall maintain with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear you at this time next year.'.. means God choose Isaac than to Ishmael... if we try to reflect this passage who are chosen people God us a Christian People or a Muslim people.. God In-trusted his only begotten Son to the descendant of Isaac not to Ishmael....That's why we must be proud because we are truly Chosen people by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior... the True Son of God.... time will come God will judge us all in according to our deed,

   Margaret, Our Lady of Fatima is not the only title of Our Blessed Mother, so why are the Moslems so interested in this particlular title? Well, from what I heard, the Moslems believe that Our Lady visited Fatima to honor the daughter of Mohammad called Fatima. They believe that since the Moslems once occupied that part of Europe before they were defeated and expelled, the mark of Islam has now been made indelible in Portugal. According to their fabricated story, Mohammad, before his death, called his daughter Fatima, blessed her and told her that she would be the most blessed woman on earth next to the Virgin Mary. That prayer is said to been answered by the visitation Our Lady to honor that prayer, hence the title, "Our Lady of Fatima." Should any reasonable person believe this story? Well, the moslem women do. I think that the Moslems know the barrenness of their pagan religion and are trying to cover up with any likely link to Christianity. It is interesting to note that it is the moslem women who pray to "Our Lady of Fatima" as "woman of vitue." The men, the jihadists, do not.

    If the Muslims were so outraged why don't they do something about their own who
    are responsible for this violence. It makes me laugh how sanctimonious they are yet
    they do not take care of their own who are wreaking violence all over the place. Yet,
    they defend their Koran-the Holy Book which I have heard speaks of Allah loving all
    and respecting all...what else does it say that warrants all the killings?
