Campaign against Archbishop Nienstedt and Marriage a Failure Comments
Homosexual equivalency forces in Minnesota failed in their effort to get Catholics to return DVDs issued as part of a diocesan campaign to preserve marriage as a union between one man and one woman. Less than 1% of the DVDs were returned. Continue Reading

K.C.,
I think you make a good point. I think one of the biggest issues to wrap our minds around here--with regard to the opposition to the Archbishop--is ignorance of the Gospel.
Where did these people get the notion that the primary objective in Christianity is to feed the poor? It's certainly an important directive our of faith, but it falls behind salvation (I assure you of that). They claim to uphold the teachings of Christ but quickly forget Christ's "run-in" with the money changers in the temple and when he rebuked the apostles. He wasn't always warm and fuzzy--but he was always correct in his teaching and loving in His motives.
Christ has become, for many, a person who supports anything we choose to believe in, regardless of how destructive it is in our lives.
I hope that their ignorance of the Gospel is something that will be far more scarce in the years to come. The internet and social media will give people the chance to read more of the truth so they no longer have the excuse of ignorance.
Thanks for reading!
Billy
God bless the Archbishop for adhering to the true message of Christ. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve. Don't remember the exact passage, but same sex "marriage is definitely prohibited in the bible, The Church should and must ask all to pray that these misguided children of God face and accept the truth that Our Lord laid down on marriage.
What a great shame for Mrs Buezek and her daughter. Her daughter semms to be fully ignorant of Christ, the church teachings on sexual morality. She thinks wallowing in the bed and deriving the momentary tickling is all that life is. The mother utterly failed in teachin her the christian morality. Even non christians like Muslims, Hindus and Budhists do consider that premarital sex and homosexual acts are wrong. How is it some fe3w among so called catholics choose to pursue the forbidden pleasures ! These people have to be given primary lessons on religion, sexual morality and above all the death and the eternal world for phttp://www.catholic.org/m/comment-button.pngeople of faith I congratulate the Bishop and the loyal catholics who stand firm defending their faith in Christ and morality
Thank God for Archbishop's loyalty to Christ as a shepherd of His flock. The "good shepherd" is ready to "suffer persecution for justice's sake," as all of us must be--each in his/her own realm of responsibility--first of all to Christ. See how words are being "twisted" to expunge the truth from the hearts of the faithful by "ravenous wolves" in sheep's clothing. (Mt 7:15ff) But, "you will know them by their fruits." (Ibid.) Thank God, too, for the response of the "Faithful" in the Archdiocese of Minneapolis-St.Paul. We are all living in difficult times--when we are being tempted by strong, diabolical forces in an uproar against the "faithful." Pray to stand firm!
The so-called "homosexual equivalency" issue is really as simple as deciding whether to be obedient to God or obedient to sin. Obviously Archbishop Nienstedt and 99% of the DVD recipients understand this.
