Potential Human Beings? O'Reilly Slams Abortion Euphemisms, then Uses One Comments

The supporters of legal abortion depend on verbal shenanigans to persuade and give contrived 'moral' cover to the evil act of killing the child in the womb.  Among their favorite euphemisms are "terminating a pregnancy," "choice," and "reproductive rights."  Those who saw The O'Reilly Factor on October 7th got a double helping of this dehumanizing rhetoric, and sadly some of it came from Bill O'Reilly himself.  Continue Reading

Wonderful article. I wholeheartedly agree that what we need are more catholics who know their faith thoroughly and profess it unapologitically and with courage . We admire Muslims----even our Pope-- for their faith. I have seen Muslims travelling in crowded trains in India, spreading their prayermat in the limited space and doing their namaz (prayer). What is wrong with the catholic community ? Why are we shy of Christ and his teachings, though He gave up his life for us. The Hierarchy , the dedicated priests , religious and families should rise and and help arrest the deterioration of morals and culture. It is hightime.

As Father Robert Barron of Word On Fire recently said, it will take perhaps an army of new priests, nuns, and informed lay people to reinvigorate a correct understanding of the Church's teachings in modern society. So let's get started, shall we?

I saw the original exchange between O'Reilley and Kolmes and I believe I heard irony in Mr. O's voice when he said "potential human beings". I agree that too often language is used as code but at least in this case I heard it as a parenthetical expression.

Mr. Combs says, "You cannot answer when that becomes a human being." Really Mr. Combs? On the contrary, science tells us exactly how and when a human life begins. A new human life begins at conception, or perhaps you still believe in storks delivering babies.
