Gay Activists Denied Communion at Catholic College Mass by Archbishop Nienstedt Comments

Archbishop John Nienstedt recently sent out a DVD defending marriage and calling the faithful to do so with their votes in the upcoming elections. This is the reason he is being opposed by homosexual equivalency activists. The Homosexual Equivalency Movement is now engaged in open defiance right within the sanctuary of the Catholic Church. This offense against the Church masquerades as a call for equal rights. Dissident ... Continue Reading

I'm french and i wish our bishops would display such a strict yet just attitude towards people who come kneeling at the communion rail to receive communion, when in fact they're in a state of mortal sin...

Those who truly love, do not allow those they love to live in sin and error. The best help we can give those with disordered attractions is enlightenment. We would be condemning them to a life of sin by "affirming" their choice of "lifestyle."

Remember, when someone leads another astray, they are doubly guilty. If one supports the sin of another, they become more guilty of that sin than the sinner is.

The truth is always the best. Those who love the truth love the Church.

Would it be possible for Catholic Online to print - "LETTER TO THE BISHOPS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ON THE PASTORAL CARE OF HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS" by Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith from the Vatican web site ? It's not too long, very clear, and signed by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger. It includes but is not limited to: "All support should be withdrawn from any organizations which seek to undermine the teaching of the Church, which are ambiguous about it, or which neglect it entirely" and "No authentic pastoral programme will include organizations in which homosexual persons associate with each other without clearly stating that homosexual activity is immoral." By printing the Letter in its entirety would clearly let everyone know what MUST be done. Each of us should send a copy to the Bishop of our own Diocese.

This Archbishop is not only upholding the truth, but he is doing a compassionate service to young people who are tempted to a homosexual life by showing them that Christ does condemn that activity and they cannot receive the Body and Blood of Christ. It would be a sacrilege. Poor young people today have pressure put on them by homosexual groups and a liberal, ungodly media and government to accept active homosexuality. Just when the young are tempted by that sin against God and nature these groups shove them over the edge. They fall into such a degraded and humiliating lifestyle. The teachings of the Catholic Church and some other religious bodies are holding out light, truth and hope to these youg people. May God forbid that any more young people fall into active homosexuality, that terrible trap of the Devil.

If you truly love a homosexual friend or relative (as we are commanded to love our Neighbors by Jesus), you will want that person to spend eternity with Jesus. You will not want him/her to commit mortal sexual sins; nor will you want him/her to commit Sacrilege against the Eucharist (CCC 2120); nor will you want him/her to give public scandal which is a mortal sin that can lead others to sin ( CCC 2284-2287). Truly loving thy Neighbor means wanting him/her to spend eternity with God in Heaven. The Archbishop is following real teachings of our Catholic Church in Charity for all; God bless him. Charity is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God (CCC 1822).

Although Scientists (including the US Center for Disease Contol) have been researching for the past 40 years, there is zero scientific evidence that homosexuality is medically or gene based. Homosexuality is a desire. The Catholic Church teaches that Homosexual Acts are Mortal sins and can not be approved. (CCC 2357-2359). Scripture also very clearly states homosexual acts are sinful: Rom 1:24-27; 1 Cor 6:9-10; 1 Tim 1:10; Gen 19:1-29. The Catholic Church does NOT pick on homosexuals - it teaches that ALL sexual acts OUTSIDE of MARRIAGE (- defined as between one man and one woman) are Mortal sins. All Catholics are required to live according the to "Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition". The Catholic Church is not a salad bar where you can pick and choose what you want to believe. God bless Archbishop John Nienstedt for upholding the true teachings of the Church.

I am concerned about "Ex-communication." Our Parish priest in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines is threatening to ex-communicate us if we will organize a household prayer meeting. We are former members of CFC-Global who departs from CFC-Global and move to CFC-FFL because we felt that the CFC-Global is falling short of spirituality. Both CFC-Global and CFC-FFL are Lay Org. recognized by the Catholic Bishops Conferrence of the Philippines. Our parish priest, approves the CFC-Global community to conduct formation program in his parish while prohibiting CFC-FFL the same freedom to organized just because he supports CFC-Global.

We insist on doing our prayer meeting, but our parish priest angrily told us that he will ex-communicate us if we will continue defying him. He would not allow us to grow in our faith as brothers and sisters. He even told us to depart and enter another church religion other than Roman Catholic Church if we would not obey to him.

We don't know what to do. We feel being persecuted by our own Pastor of the Church. The One Holy Catholic Church is our church, We are born Catholics, we love being Catholics because it is the true church founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
