Santorum's Speech: Capturing the Kennedy Mystique, Correcting the Kennedy Mistake Comments
September 12, 2010 marked the fiftieth anniversary of one of the defining political speeches of the last 100 years. It was the address given by Senator John F. Kennedy to the Houston Ministerial alliance. In that speech he unleashed a horrid mistake. He laid out an approach to the role of religious faith which resulted in "privatizing" the truths informed by faith. Senator Rick Santorum exposed the Kennedy mistake and offered another model ... Why does anyone have to question why what we say has to be right or wrong? We believe in the teachings of God. If you read the Bible everyday, you see many writings that try to explain what you read. Again, people explaining what we just read. On this site, many people explain their view. It is not our view. Either we believe in God and his teachings or we DO NOT BELIEVE in his thoughts. God's word is not a buffet. You can not choose what you or do not believe.
and Mario Cuomo rubber stamped the Kennedy heresy with his speech at Notre Dame University. All the years Ted Kennedy was a Senator he carried the rotting worm of this heresy. and no American voice rose up to gain say either of them satisfactorily.
Because we were too comfortable. with our oil. and our nuclear bombs. and our birth control.
now, there is no party to win an election to represent the correct view. where else is the home of Democracy ? and now with the legalization of pot imminent, our new generations will not be clear minded enough to see the Truth, or hear its Word. It reminds me of the tower writing of St. Thomas More, patron of the laity. His nephew said, "Sir are we to perish in the tide of unbelief also?" and his response was, "Yes, because we were not able to stop it." and look what happened to England, how it became the epicenter of the Culture of Death. And now, our Daniel, goes into the thick of it....Pray for Pope Benedict...why did he choose that name? The previous Benedict was the Pope of Peace during the time of World War One. Will Benedict XVI be the Pope of Peace during WWIII? yes, if we cannot stop it. "The fruit of abortion is nuclear war."- Mother Teresa.
Santorum speaks the truth. Catholic Online should print a report how catholic senaotors and representatives have voted on catholic moral teachings over the past four years. Hint: read the Catholic Advocate. The voting record of most catholic democratic congressmen and women is undeniably immoral. Don't vote repbulican, vote for a conservative! Get your friends and family to vote! You can do more with your vote to change the moral fiber of this country than you realize!
Obama is trying to split the catholic vote promising fewer abortions yet his biggest fans are the administrators of Planned Parenthood! He provides funding for abortion in Mexico City! He promotes embryonic stem cell research. He sicks the Labor Dept after catholic universities and hospitals! Don't drink the Kool-Aid anymore! Vote conservative. Teach a man to fish! Support your local Tea Party!
Pray for our leaders!
We need more statesmen like Mr. Santorum.
Excellent analysis, and I look forward to your coverage.
Whatever happens, God Bless America.
