This is indeed good news. I read earlier today elsewhere that the Catholic Leadership Conference of Women Religious backed the health care bill. I wondered who these women answer to (here on earth - we all know who they will answer to in the end!) It was also interesting to see that this latter group, backing the bill, looked like - at best - social workers, while the women in Deacon's article were appropriately garbed in their respective habits (nice to see!). These renegade nuns - do they answer to anyone? Does the Vatican oversee their organization? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks Deacon for the most timely article.
