"The ends justify the means!" Last time I checked, that was the motto of atheistic communists, not of practicing Catholics?

Very sad. I knew most nuns in this country had essentially lost their faith, but this proves it. Imagine 50 years ago, Catholic sisters voicing support for a bill that will kill unborn babies. The Church needs another Council of Trent, and start by shedding pro aborts like Joe Biden and these nuns.

Lots of blogs like AmP and even my own, have posted about how this 59,000 claim is wrong.

    1. 59,000 was the number of women religious LAST YEAR. There is currently a decline in overall numbers by about 1k-2k.

    2. LCWR is shrinking in membership and accounts for a MAJORITY of the 1k-2k

    3. the CMSWR put out a statement today... they represent 100 womens religious orders... the LCWR? 60.

    4. the CMSWR has at LEAST 10,000 women in it... so at it's worst... the numbers are way off.

    5. There is a question of whether the letter that the LCWR put out represents only the LEADERSHIP of the LCWR or all the women in the groups. the CMSWR statement includes the 10k+ women in the orders that signed on to it.

We should pray for these misguided nuns.

Is it possible to have Sr. Keehan removed from her position as a nun and appointment due to her obvious disregard for Catholic teachings? She could have contributed to millions of babies being aborted. She will have to answer for this transgression at some point...

obedience is to Jesus not the bishops. Good for the sisters. This might not have happened if the bishops weren't antagonizing them. They've left them no choice.

It is most disgusting to see these renegade alleged "nuns" take such a disrespectful stand. Many practicing catholics do not recognize these law women hiding behind a title as commiteed nuns. They are regular lay persons. How can they possibly represent the poor elderly sisters who wore habits and were obedient to the church but cannot speak for themselves due to aging and illnesses. These lay "nuns" need to have their congreations disbanded by the Vatican. My dearest "nun" find another denomination.
