   Girl Scout Leaders make a stand. Do not promote things that do not have anything to do with Scouting. DO NOT Send in SPRING REGISTRATION. Tell GSUSA you will not stand for this in Scouting. Save what is left for the girls. The Girls are innocent

   Kathy, see http://www.c-fam.org/ this has another side of the story. cant tell whos who anymore. Keep an eye out and we must always teach our children right and wrong at every stage.

   Please look into AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS, the fastest growing girls scouting organization in the nation. www.ahgonline.org. I am in the process of starting one at my parish and it can be called a "Catholic Troop" because the parish is chartering the troop and AHG is set up to ensure the chartering organization and the troops are closely tied. AHG is bringing girls and their families closer to Christ through the scouting experience. Please do not give up on scouting, just switch your organizations. God bless!

   I have been hoping and praying that this information would turn out to be false but feel that God is trying to tell me and the world something about the Girl Scout organization. I have devoted a lot of time to GS, 10 years as a girl and 10 years as a troop leader. As a troop leader I would never allow my girls to be exposed to such horrible propaganda. I am looking into an alternative to Girl Scouts and am going to start the process of starting an American Heritage Girls troop in my town. I hope others will do the same.

   I would like visual and auditory proof before you condemn this organization that has been such a huge part of making my daughter and my troop a tremendous asset to our community.

   It is not clear what Fr. Ignatius meant by his one sentence comment. Doe he favour the foolish secularisation of girl scouts ? As a catholic we should see every act, every reform, every subject if offending our faith is protested and the right way shown to others.
   No proposal to omit God from everywhere should be acceded to. When will Europe and the other developed nations realise that their foolish secularism ( There is a decent way of secularism too) is responsible for all the ills like trrorism ?

   If you don't believe, then read for yourself at the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts own website, and see what their own delegates to the UN confernece on the status of women were advocating for.

   The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) which is the international organization of Girl Scouting which GSUSA belongs to actually sent delegates to the UN Conference on the Status of Women held two weeks ago, and they openly posted their stance and that of their delegates on their web page for all to read.
   You decide for yourself whether this is appropriate for Girl Scouting to be involved in.

    To all who deny the connection between GS and PP, do an internet search and you will find that the President of GSUSA herself admitted that they work with PP and IPPF lists WAGGGS as a youth orgnization that works with them around the world. You can verify the connection yourself through their own resources. No one is making this up.
