What an inspiring story! To think that he gave up everything that he could have had to do the good work of the Lord. May God continue to bless Grant and those discerning the priesthood. :)

I've been reading about this remarkable young man on several sports blogs and I'm still having problems holding back the tears of joy of such a decision!

I was very touched by Grant's decision. I would like him to know that I am praying for him, as he enters the seminary. I am a member of St. Bonaventure, in Concord, California and am an A's fan. So I am also "rooting for Grant". I would like to hear his full story of his calling.

I know the Seminary this young man is entering. You said in your article that this should be national news. He needs privacy and not a parade of media. I suspect they will start to lock the front gate again. Yes a wonderful thing is happening, so lets just let it happen and thank Our Lord for His gift.

What a great example and proof that man was made "GOOD". Man is not evil by nature, man is 'tempted' towards evil but can be defeated through Christ.
