    If you are only 5 feet tall, you cannot be a star NBA basketball player or an NFL quarterback. Sorry, you have to work with what God gave you. If you are gay, you cannot be married or adopt children. Sorry, you have to work with what God gave you. Get over it.

    I can respect that some people just don't believe all adults should be allowed to get married because of religious reasons. But really this whole thing is silly because you need to obtain a license from the state to get married, and there's a separation of church and state in this country, so denying someone the right to get married based on their sexual orientation is actually against the Constitution. The 14th Amendment, actually: Section. 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. Feel free to deny homosexuals the right to be married in the Catholic church. Put a sign on your door telling them they will never be married within your doors. Homosexuality isnt going away and it cannot be prayed away. Gay couples needs to have the same rights every other couple in the nation has access to.

    Marriage CAN be between two men or two women in lots of places including Canada where I live. It's only a matter of time before it'll happen in New York. Catholics don't own the word marriage and should be more concerned with helping others. Not sure when Catholics became so self-centered and mean.

    Thank God for the pro-Mariage vote ie. a unity between a man and a woman,
    Yes, one can marry one that he or she loves provided that the loved one is of the other sex. That deprives no one of anything.
    If it does then to prevent a 10 year old from having a drivers' license is deprevation of his civil rights.
    The state has the responsibility of promoting the common good.

    Marriage can be only for one man end one woman. Not one man and two women or a man a man or a woman and a bird or something else. All other unions are not marriage. Bravo for Senator Diaz!

    No where in the Bible does it say homosexuality is forbidden, but you know, God calling it an ABOMINATION kind of tells me He is not terribly thrilled with it. Thus, logic dictates that it *is* forbidden, or else He would have called it a blessing.
