DURING THE FLOOR DEBATE ON THE LEALTH CARE REFORM BILL, PLEASE SUPPORT AN AMENDMENT TO INCORPORATE LONGSTANDING POLICIES AGAINST ABORTION FUNDING AND IN FAVOR OF CONSCIENCE RIGHTS. IF THESE SERIOUS CONCERNS ARE NOT ADDRESSED, THE FINAL BILL SHOULD BE OPPOSED.
We do need health care reform, but not a universal plan. We need to work on a plan that will address certain elements of health care, such as many Republicans have proposed. I definitely do not want my tax dollars to support abortion, which is simply killing babies, who, by the way, would support our growing, aging population.
We DO need to fight against this. Number one, because of abortion. However, I never do understand why the Church believes in "universal" healthcare. Does the Church not see that "universal" healthcare promotes stealing? Government steals from those who are productive and gives to those who choose not to be. I have no problem with programs such as Medicare or Medicaid which are based on need, not laziness. This current administration thinks I should pay for the healthcare of even those who, rather than use their money for healthcare, would rather spend it gambling and eating crab legs at the casino. I will pray to end and prevent abortion, but I will not pray for universal healthcare which is unjust.
It is incredable that we have to put up with politicians That look out more for re-election than the good of the people.A rehab of our medical situation and we are going to steal from medicare to help pay for insurance that some people don't want and is already available and federally funded insurance that can be can used for abortions .We all know that the CHOICE was made long before the abortion issue comes up.What a disaster this medical BILL is turning into. And indeed it will be a BILL in Many $$$$$$$.If this bill is passed in it's present form ,I will do all in my financial and personal power to defeat any of our current representatives that vote for this abomination in the next election. It's too bad they don't look at the real causes of "the out of control cost of " health care."It seems our Congress is out of control!!!!!!2000 pages????
Please vote against this bill.
Vote against this aberation in spending
Hold on a minute....the church is all of a sudden going to proclaim their stance! Hello!
Nancy Pelosi is the force behind this. She has met with Pope Benedict how many times since last election? Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy? These politicians are Catholic? Let's return the horse to the front of the cart, folks. These politicians need to be publically scorned ,rebuked and excommunicated. Otherwise the Church's clamoring will be so hypocritical.
My parish didn't step up to the plate. I am very disappointed.
During floor debate on the health care reform bill , please support an amendment to incorporate longstanding policies against abortion funding and in favor ofconcience rights. If these concerns are not addressed, the final bill should be opposed.
If your Catholic Church does not publish the insert or even just pray that abortion is eliminated from the health care bill chosen---then maybe its time for you to seek out another faith Catholic Church nearby; assuming there even is one.
