The article on Tomislav Vlasic (not Vladic) is full of inaccuraces. Fr. Vlasic was never the spiritual director of the visionaries and arrived in Medjugorje after the apparitions started, not before. Cardinal Ratzinger never banned pilgrims going to Medjugorje. He cautioned them to not make the phenomenom become the be all and end all of their faith. But if it helped them to grow in faith then that is good. People shouldn't judge the seers for how they earn their living. They work very hard attending to the pilgrims who come to Medjugorje. They earn an honest wadge. If ones faith depends on the authenticity of a supernatural phenomenon, then one needs to pray a little more. Let's let the Church make the final decision on Medjugorje, not reporters who can't even spell correctly the name of the person about whom they are writing.

Look the evil one is having his last hoorah in the world before the second coming.

As we all know only the Father knows the hour etc. so we must be patient.

I know a lot of people have gone to the Medjurgorje site and believe but its not about a place.

Private revelation (Were not obligated to believe in it.) says our Lord would let His mother have this time to gather in her children.

I trust Benedict the XVI and I trust the Church with past successes like Lourdes, Fatima etc.

So people of God let the church do her work when it comes to these apparition sights.

I dont know about this article and besides when Im typing and forget to go back and spellcheck I get mispellings especially when one needs to make a deadline.

I trust in the Lord, I trust His Mother and I trust Mother Church.

Most of all I know we can be fooled by the evil one but I also know the Lord won and were just waiting patiently for Him as He asked.

Places where our Blessed Mother officially went are just "places" but non the less important but we believe in a perons and that person is Christ so lets be careful of the materialism and traps we can fall into and be fooled by the evil one.

Im not saying Medjurgorje is such a sight but this could be the evil one fooling us and were in the times of secular relativism so lets keep up our guard.

Ask your guardian angel to protect you and pray to the Mother to ask Her Son to give us wisdome, discernment and guidance.

Love in Christ brothers and sisters and to all of our brothers and sisters who are suffering in the world we pray to the Lord.

This story is, unfortunately, very misleading. This priest was not the one most identified with the reported apparitions, it was Fr. Jozo. There are numerous other innacuracies in this report as well. For a more honest report check on this site:

"Simon Caldwell, the ever reliable Daily Mail reporter", you say. Are you kidding us...?

His story contains several "informations" which have been proven wrong long ago. Check your facts!

Caldwell's article also contains biased language, attempt at unjustified defamation and irrelevant comments.

The Vision Sister Briege McKenna Recieved in 1981

The vision that Sr. Briege McKenna got for Fr. Tomislav Vlasic during a conference in Rome one month before the apparitions in Medjugorje began. Sr. Briege saw a white church with two towers -- and inside the church she saw Fr. Tomislav sitting in the chair of the main celebrant. Living water was flowing from the chair, thousands of people came and drank from the water, and then hurried outside to bring their friends, too.
Neither Sr. Briege nor Fr. Tomislav could identify the church, but only four months later Fr. Tomislav was assistant pastor of Medjugorje, immediately recognizing the church of Sr. Briege's vision when he first saw St. James Church.

I would like to see the name of the author on every article. I am not a fan of this visionary site, but this article almost sounds like gossip instead of reliable, well written and documented information. It made me uneasy as I was reading it... which I have come to recognize as a warning from the Holy Spirit. It makes me take pause and wonder if time will bring new light. The attitude of the local bishop does not inspire confidence in his position against the visions.... we shall see ! ! !

After the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje began and the pastor of Medjugorje was put in prison by the communists, Fr. Tomislav Vlasic was assigned to St. James parish in Medjugorje. In September, 1984 he left Medjugorje and in 1985 was assigned to the parish in Vitina (with all priestly faculties - to preach, to hear confessions, celebrate Mass, etc., ie., when he left, he was in good standing with the Church). He was never formally designated pastor of St. James parish. Parish records state that Fr. Tomislav Pervan served as pastor in Medjugorje from 1982 through 1988.

Fr. Tomislva Vlasic moved to Italy in 1987 and in 1992 joined the Italian Franciscan Province of Abbruzzo. All these years he has not been a member of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina. It appears he decided to go on a different path in the mid 80’s, having been heavily influenced by a German woman who had come to Medjugorje, Agnes Heupel, who claimed to be a visionary, and with whom he formed his own community in 1987. During this time he tried forcing one of the visionaries of Medjugorje, Marija Pavlovic, to publicly state that Our Lady supported his “spiritual marriage” with Agnes Heupel and the new way of life of his community. To the contrary, Marija’s conscience forced her to write a public statement on July 11, 1988, disavowing any connection with him or with his community: “I repeat that I never received from the Gospa, nor gave Fr. Tomislav or anyone else, a confirmation of the program of Fr. Tomislav and Agnes Heupel.” Though Fr. Vlasic would later build a house outside of Medjugorje behind the hill of Crnica, between the village of Surmanc and Bijakovici, he, himself, kept distant from Medjugorje and was never involved in any activities of the parish.

The fact is that in the mid 80’s Fr. Vlasic decided to go his own way and since then none of the visionaries of Medjugorje have had any contact with him.

Let’s not forget that during this time the events of Medjugorje were situated between a hostile communist government and a bishop who had stated publicly, “I want Medjugorje destroyed!” (and that anyone purporting Our Lady was appearing in Medjugorje deserved the lowest place in hell)! During a filmed interview in his Episcopal residence in January 1988, in response to my question, “Who is the pastor in Medjugorje?” the Bishop replied, “I don’t know, I think it’s the fat one!” Medjugorje has not been cared for by the local Ordinary – though literally hundreds of bishops throughout the world are testifying to incredible graces having come into their own dioceses through Medjugorje. Though vulnerable itself from attacks on all sides – lacking protection that should have been in place – this little parish has continued going forward, renewing the Church! The parish – and visionaries – have been nothing less than heroic! Let’s not forget that early on in her messages Our Lady had warned that Satan left many places in the world in order to focus his attack against Medjugorje – to try to thwart what God was doing there. All those who continue answering Our Lady’s call to be her apostles are vulnerable to his attacks.

Don’t be distracted by what you might read in the media. Present developments are a good sign. Rome is finally beginning to give some shepherding to Medjugorje – to take seriously protecting what God is doing there. Good things lie ahead!

This is timely for me in that only yesterday I had come across stories regarding the matter of Medjugorje and was planning to delve deeper into it. Thanks to the Holy Spirit I will not waste my time but will have more time to devote to helpful and authentic spiritual reading. Thanks be to God.
