As a parent of a graduating ND student I am very saddened that Obama has been asked to speak but I do not support the extreme "circus" atmosphere that Terry resorts to. Please show a respectful demonstration that honors life and turns hearts to the pro-life moviment not this fanatical demonstration of baby dolls with fake blood and disruption of campus life.

    ND Grad
"Notre Dame du Lac" is french and translates to "Our Lady of the Lake", add the "University" to it and it translates to "University of Our Lady of the Lake". "Unversity of Notre Dame" translates to "University of Our Lady". Maybe that is the problem with the University they did not or do not want to translate what "Notre Dame" means literally or spiritually. Words and titles have meaning unless their meaning, their identity, their charactor is built on sand. I have spent time praying in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, my eyes have feasted on the Mural of Jesus with his out streached arms on the Library. You do not have to be a grad to appreciate the beauty and the potential that can come from this great University. In Luke 1:38 - "Mary said, 'You see before you the Lord's servant, let it happen to me as you have said." with this Mother Mary, Our Lady said yes to Life, to the Bread of Life who has come for the savation of us all! ND Grad do not waste your efforts on little things, place all your efforts on those works that sanctifies life and changes the world and directs them to God our Father, through Jesus Christ. Remember I am on your side, if your side lives in victories for Christ. All is for nothing, if it is not all for the Glory of God.

Catholics should stop studying and providing funds to this school

I would agree with these statements except for the fact that it is finals week on campus, and such a protest, though understandable in the circumstances previously mentioned, would be extremely disruptive to the students. I believe the arrest was made for the well-being of the students, and the same would have occurred for any such protest that was set to happen during this week.

    AndyO 5-1-09 has a point. Pro-Choice should be re-labeled Pro-Death.

If we are accepting of the re-naming of swine flu for accuracy and to limit offence, why not re-name Pro-Choice to Pro-Death for accuracy and limit to offence, considering the developments in government legislation recently.

As choice is a good thing, but we are railroaded due to the using of ‘choice’ to support death. This rationale is inline with Pope John Paul 2 and his prophecy of ‘the culture of death.’

Um, ND's correct name is University of Notre Dame. (It's official name is University of Notre Dame du Lac.)

How ironic and disappointing! The University of Our Lady this, can not be! Where has our church gone when a pro-lifer is arrested for trespassing and a pro-death/pro-choice activist is given a honorary doctorate and the honor to speak to the graduating class of a Pretigous Catholic University. The great deceiver is doing what he does best and there is very little we can do to stop it.

Lovers of Jesus Christ, remember we are victorious in Christ, and the great deceiver can only deceive those who allow him to deceive. Live in the Eucharist and proclaim the truth of Our Church.

A Catholic man was arrested for doing the work of God on the property of a so-called Catholic university? Our Holy Mother must be crying in Heaven. A university named for her going against the faith. This is so sad.

there should've been a few bishops getting arrested with him. otherwise it sends the signal that abortion is only a marginal issue.
I can't be getting arrested, I have a family that depends on me...THIS is why we have a celibate priesthood: to live the Gospel fully...instead we let a lay convert do the suffering...
and the bishops complain the laity are apathetic....

Once again, shame on you Notre Dame. It is obvious that this is no longer a Catholic university. Mr. Terry was standing up for what the Church believes in, and he is arrested for it.
