I thank Bishop Doran but would like him to amend his suggestions of an alternate name for NDU not to include "Fighting Irish University" as many of the Irish I know are faithful Catholics and would be offended by that name. I think a better monicker might be something like: "Notre Shame" or "Quasi-Catholic University" or "The Center for Modernist and Relativist Studies" or even "We Love Money and Publicity and When We Have a Spare Minute We Even Think About God a Little College".

The Blessed Mother weeps! The Holy Cross disgraces her publicly and unapologetically.
The Holy Cross is generally corrupt and apostate and has been for decades now. Maybe we can trade them to the liberal/gay wing of the American Epsicoapl church in exchange for their conservative, devoted high Episcopalians.
Sorry for the vitriol...this whole mess is infuriating and so unnecessary. We should be able to trust priests, for crying out loud, to be at least minimally faithful to our Church, her teachings and respect for the Blessed Mother...not craven, self-serving opportunists like Jenkins or arrogant heretics like McBrien.
Pray for Jenkins as you would any notorious sinner...and forgive me for my uncharitable anger on this matter.

Let us hope and pray that our Bishops will now seriously consider implementing John Paul II's "Ex Corde Ecclesiae".
In my opinion, the present Notre Dame scandal is the result of the non-implementation of "Ex Corde Ecclesiae".
