    Here is what I sent

For Notre Dame to recognize President Obama by giving him a platform gives all of us that call ourselves Catholic a black-eye. I am continually saddened by the lack of direction given by our shepherds in regards to standing up to the rising tide of what our Pope has called the "Dictatorship of Relativism" President Obama is in my opinion and judging by what I have read many others opinions the epitome of Relativism. Please do not allow the honoring of President Obama to occur at such a venerable Catholic institution such as Notre Dame. Thank you

President Obama is a secularist following the wide path that leads to eternal damnation. Luke 17:1-2 He said to his disciples, "Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur.
    2
It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
    Catechism of the Catholic Church-2287
Anyone who uses the power at his disposal in such a way that it leads others to do wrong becomes guilty of scandal and responsible for the evil that he has directly or indirectly encouraged. "Temptations to sin are sure to come; but woe to him by whom they come!"90
I will pray and contact the leadership at Notre Dame. The Roman Catholic Church is underattack by the culture of death. Our Lady of Fatima warned us! We must make reparations for the sinfulness of our world. We are the Light of the World! Pray the Rosary!

As you can see in my E-Mail address, ND is a great university, that I have always been proud of. I am so disappointed in their decision to honor a man that is totally against all the principles of Notre Dame and the Catholic Church. I pray that they will change their minds or the world will laugh at the University and it's leadership.

Shouldn't the students turn their backs on him during commencement? Every student so doing should be granted amnesty for voicing/acting out his/her displeasure at this violation of faith.

Certainly the powers that be at ND responsible for this outrage are not guaranteed their positions for a lifetime? The last several years of "people pleasing" as opposed to God pleasing decisions suggest re-assignment is in order.

I would have encouraged my son to attend Notre Dame for its prestige and hopefully for upholding its traditional values. In light of the recent news that President Obama, with a very pro-abortion stand would be so honored by Notre Dame has really changed my mind. In going ahead with this dishonor of your institution, you may just as well remove yourselves from any semblance of following the Catholic faith or its values.

Hmm... Prestigious CATHOLIC University gives Honorary Degree to Pro-Abortion, Embryonic Stem Cell Research President Obama.

Guess the Word of God must be being choked out by the weeds or maybe the soil it fall on was not very deep after all.

Please say it isn't so. When are Catholics going to believe and live their faith?

I am shocked that Notre Dame would even entertain the idea of asking President Obama to speak. It negates what our Catholic faith teaches us. Please don't give in to the devil's temptation. Find a faithful Catholic speaker to give the address. Someone who represents what Notre Dame stands for. If you do not I believe you are commiting a sin against God.Pray for courage to do the right thing.
