This was very helpful in why we practice the sacrament and for what to reflect upon to examine my conscience. Thank you

Is missing mass on Sunday a mortal sin? If so do I need to go to confession?
    Thanks

I just want to know how specific should I be in the actual confession of sins. Some say I should not present a laundry list to the Priest. Will not the penitential rite at Mass be enough?

One should refer to the Catholic Catechism on Confession - various types of it. Do not make a confession here, there is no one to absolve you. Go to the Mass, and the Penitential Rite is a time to do it in private. Serious sins should be confessed in person to a Priest, to gain guidance, and absolution from the Church, Jesus forgives as you know our sins. Thank you.
