Preferred Partners

"Our Preferred Partners alliance brings together two principles that hold great promise for the next-generation publisher," said Michael Galloway, president and founder of Catholic Online. "It provides a showcase for them to connect quality writings with readers worldwide that are hungry for well-produced, engaging writings; and it does so within a brand new economic model that makes new media a viable outlet for epic journalism, rich with detail and timeless in their relevance."

Catholic Online's Preferred Partners combines writing, photography, video and audio elements to deliver a uniquely powerful and immersive experience to its audience.

Our publication represents an integrated way of thinking about the e-commerce opportunity in online publishing; viewers of any story by our Preferred Partners are one click away from purchasing related products, such as books and photos, or from licensing the media elements separately or as complete stories.

For example, visitors who are impressed by Preferred Partner "A" can buy the book from Catholic Online's Bookstore with a single click. A picture editor at another publication can click through to Preferred Partner "B" and license their images for a related story.

This innovative approach to e-commerce makes Catholic Online Preferred Partners a multifaceted revenue opportunity for publishers who stand to earn royalties from incremental transactions in addition to any licensing fees paid.

Our goal is to reduce the friction of visiting several websites, to create a single place for people to enjoy great stories and make it easy for them to transact not only with our sponsors and advertisers, but also with our contributors.

Catholic Online is Very Proud to Partner with the following great organizations.

Most of the content of the website does not appear in print; and most of the newspaper does not appear online. Both use reports by NZ Catholic staff and correspondents, as well as coverage by international Catholic news services.
