Woman vanishes after appearing on 'People's Court'
Florida woman appeared on TV show to settle $5,000 engagement ring
Orlando, Florida resident Michelle Parker disappeared after appearing on the TV's how "The People's Court" last week. The mother of twins appeared with her former fiancé to settle a dispute overt a $5,000 engagement ring last week - and then vanished the same day.
On 'The People's Court' in which both Michelle Parker and Dale Smith appeared revealed deeper conflicts within their relationship.
Parker's former fiancé, Dale Smith is not considered a suspect or a person of interest, but police have gathered some personal items from his home. Parker's parents said they don't think that Smith is involved in their daughter's disappearance.
"He (Smith) has fully cooperated," Yvonne Stewart, Parker's mother says. "They have found absolutely no evidence that there's any foul play on his part."
Parker's parents told television reporters that they believe their daughter was a "victim of a random crime," and is making desperate pleas for her return.
"If anybody has her and are holding her hostage, please let her go. Let her come home so she can raise her babies," Yvonne Stewart, Parker's mother says.
On "The People's Court" in which both Parker and Smith appeared revealed deeper conflicts within their relationship.
"He shouldn't have put his hands on me and he shouldn't have put his hands on me prior. He shouldn't have left me three or four times over the past year and a half that we've been together," she said on the show.
Her comments could provide clues for investigators. "You know it's always possible that anytime you have a public display of animosity between two individuals in a relationship, it's going to exacerbate the problems between those two individuals," Rod Wheeler, former Washington D.C. homicide investigator and current homicide consultant said.
It's not the first time daytime TV has shared the headlines with a case. In 1996, a man was convicted of murdering an acquaintance, after he claimed the "Jenny Jones Show" ambushed him with a gay crush confessional.
A private dispute that played out for television audiences could be linked to this family's nightmare.
Parker's father, Brad Parker, said family members, friends, volunteers and Texas Equusearch members are searching for his daughter. "So let's hope we find her and bring her home," he said.

When a woman becomes a public display, she is endangered.
It's unfortunate that in today's society, there are so many individuals walking the streets who can at any time "go off" while having reality laced with fantasy and/or horrific delusions. My first thought, that at times I think is an intuition, was that someone living close to her had viewed the TV show, knowing something about where she goes... to work, shop or living quarters, and overpowered her for sexual deviance. It's not understandable how the boyfriend cannot be suspect in such a case. Gangs as well as friends of gang members operate on all for one and one for all conditions. Statistics prove more than 75% of the actors who were involved in foul play in this type of case were closely related to the victim. This young lady could be set up very easy, so that witnesses were with the boyfriend while an aquatint engaged in creating her disappearance.
The correlation between seeing more and more members of a society turn away from traditional religion, morals, values and character, and the gauging the severity as well as frequency of such acts shows an alarming increase if we were to 'graph' these activities. When are people going to understand we must live by the Word?
