Tickets to the 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II' go on sale Monday
Conclusion to popular modern vampire fable sure to pack out theaters
The conclusion to the modern vampire saga, "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II" won't officially hit theaters until November, but the legions of rabid fans are fixing to line up this Monday, October 1 for pre-sale tickets. Fans of the romantic fantasy franchise were treated to a new 84-second trailer on the MTV Video Music Awards show.
The conclusion to the series 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part II' comes almost a full year after the last installment, a bit of a stretch for die-hard fans of the series.
Kristen Stewart, the series' female lead is no longer together with Pattinson off screen, the romance between Stewart's newly turned vampire Bella and her equally undead husband takes center stage in the trailer.
"I've had a bad habit of underestimating you," Edward Cullen says in the trailer as viewers are treated to a scene of a leaping Bella taking down a mountain lion. "Every obstacle, I'd think you couldn't overcome it and you just did."
In the latest installment, Volturi, the vampire coven led by Michael Sheen's Aro, vow to wipe out our heroes because they have birthed precocious Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy).
Judging by the previously unseen footage that's woven into the new trailer, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" looks to be an action-packed finale to the franchise based on Stephanie Meyer's book series.
Pattinson in the trailer receives an "Avengers"-like moment, leaping into the air and landing on the ice in an Iron Man like crouch.
"I thought we'd be safe forever, but forever isn't as long as I'd hoped," a solemn Bella intones.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" opens nationwide November 16th. When Summit revealed that "Breaking Dawn" would be split into two films - with the first film's release date set for November, there was much speculation that the final chapter would drop the following summer. This news puts the second film out almost a full year after Part 1, no doubt creating an excruciating waiting period for the film franchise's extremely dedicated fans. It's generally agreed the company wanted the final installment to go out with competition from the usual summer blockbusters.

Although I don't think this should be on the website I am very much glad to be a catholic and go see this. I personally don't think it's paganism or demonic as much as people would like to believe. It's just a movie after all and so far they have all been great movies.
Why is this being promoted on this website? How does vampires and werewolves have anything to do with Catholic issues? This is a reason why I've been getting most of my news from LifeSiteNews.com and EWTN.org and not here. You people really need to re-evaluate your priorities.
oh my goodness! I don't know what to say. I just got a sick feeling deep down in my stomach. Why would you promote such a movie on this website. It is bad enough that this kind of thing is everywhere else. I come to this website to build up my faith. This certainly is not something to help do that. Isn't there a better movie that you can promote to build up the kingdom of God instead of the devil.
What a totally bizarre occurence to see a story about this ridiculous movie on Catholic.org. Let's go with Team Catholic, shall we?
I read this thinking it would give some kind of Catholic insight into the story line. I'm confused about why this is even here... Very strange. I have no interest whatsoever in these movies. I don't think they're pagan as much as occult.
I couldn't believe that I found such an article promoting this crap on catholic.org.
This article has no place on a Catholic website. Catholic.org has done an excellent job of promoting holiness and true Catholic teaching--what's going on here? Please take this trash off the site and refrain from promoting entertainment that does not lead to holiness. Instead you should promote articles by Catholic author Michael O'Brien who convincingly outlines the dangers of movies such as this and Harry Potter. Catholics should be on guard of buying into pop culture--and the lures of the devil.
An even more apt term than "paganism" is "demonic."
Catholic.org should not promote this type of movie. This type of films, Twilight Saga, does not have a place on this site. This movie is very dark and demonic, it belongs to the same class of Harry Potter series. Catholic.org should revisit its film review policy. Please review your faith and catechism.
NO! Why on earth are you promoting this garbage!
