The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph of the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary, a new book by theologian Dr. Kelly Bowring, traces the recent prophecies of the Blessed Virgin Mary and compares them with the Book of Revelation in the Bible to show that we are living today the beginning of the Apocalypse. According to his book, Heaven is sending us apparitions and divine messages to ask us to get ready while there is still time.
Dawsonville, Georgia (news release) May 13, 2009 – A new book on apocalyptic times has just received the official recognition of the Catholic Church in the form of an imprimatur, affirming that nothing in the book contradicts Catholic faith and teaching. The new book, The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph of the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary, was written by theologian and college professor, Dr. Kelly Bowring, and has just been released through Two Hearts Press, LLC (www.TwoHeartsPress.com).
Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal of the Philippines has just granted Dr. Bowring's new book on biblical and modern heavenly prophecy the Church’s official imprimatur. His secretary, Rev. Fr. Mhar Vincent Balili, expressed his hope for the success of the new book, stating, "May this book reach as many people as possible that they may deepen their devotions to the two hearts of Jesus and Mary."
Covering prophecies of the latter times, a topic of increasing interest to Christians in recent years, Professor Bowring's new book seems likely to become popular and far-reaching. His book discusses the major heavenly apparitions as reported around the world in the past century, including places like Fatima, Lourdes, Garabandal, and Medjugorje. These places have received millions of pilgrims since becoming religious shrines. He shows how they all point to one central warning concerning the times we are quickly approaching.
While relating these heavenly messages of Jesus and the Virgin Mary to the Book of Revelation, Bowring's book shows with mounting evidence that we really are living in biblically important times, unprecedented times of apparitions, visions, and messages from Heaven, all in unison calling humanity to prepare for the final battle between good and evil. His book answers four questions about our times: Why is the world in so much turmoil today? What is going to happen in the near future? Are we living in the time of the Apocalypse? What is Heaven saying to us about our times?

Well it's worth keeping in mind that - The author does clearly state at the outset that the church does not officially mandate belief in the prophecies. In fact he goes through great pains at the outset to set that proper tone.
It is apparent however that the author does in fact believe in the miricles him self. Whether you do or not is a personal choice. I will say this for the book, it's given me an interesting perspective on many of our theologies. If nothing else he's a solid theologist and very capable of presenting the information in a digestable format.
Are we in revelation right now? That's impossible for us say, in fact part of the whole point is that if we were we wouldn't know. But regardless it's a good topic to study, and this book does a good job introducing us to the theology behind the second coming of Christ.
Interestingly it just so happens I signed up for a bible study in my Diocese, it just so happens the book being studied is Revelation! So I'm getting a whole bunch of it for the next 20 weeks!
